Beautiful setting. We had an ocean cottage which was lovely and well appointed for the most part. Nice and close to the ocean. The screen doors did not properly seal at night, so bugs would get in. We ended up having to close the glass patio doors, which was too bad, in that we could not hear the ocean sound at night. The resort is rather secluded and there is not a awful lot to do in the area if you are not a golfer. So suggest a night or two is enough. Unfortunelty we did not see any turtles but we did see a seal and many cats. Wifi was included 8n the resort fee, but was very slow. Service was excellent and very friendly. Snack bar in the lobby makes excellent breakfast saniches and coffee.

Truly a 4 star resort as a five star place would imply luxury, and those are actually limited in the area. From what we researched, we are glad we chose Turtle Bay as it is set on its own area with golf course, beach in the back which makes it less public, pools, and on site restaurants. Although we didn't eat on site due to prices, accommodations were comfortable and a nice place to stay. It is about an hour drive from the airport, although it doesn't seem so long when you are driving while you are taking in all of the views. Nothing really within walking distance but if you don't have a rental car, I believe there is a bus that runs through there. If you don't want to stay in the Waikiki hotels, which are essentially just hotels very close to each other, and are looking for more privacy and space, this is the place for you. We were still able to drive and park in Waikiki (more city like) to explore so you won't miss out by staying a bit further on the North Shore (less city).

I've rented many scooters before and rented a scooter here, that was broken. It puttered and wouldn't go the legal speed required on local roads. Started shaking when it maxed out around 25MPH and had no acceleration. Cars were honking and added nothing but anxiety to what was supposed to be a fun ride. The two other scooters that were in my party worked fine. I verified that by testing those as well. When I told them about the horrible experience they told me the scooter was fine and refused to even offer a refund. Horrible customer service + broken scooters putting peoples lives in danger = don't rent scooters!

I've stayed here twice in the last year--gorgeous setting. My one big gripe is that there's not enough (hardly any!) free beach chairs-- Hello resort fee!! The free snorkel gear and go pro check out is groovy and all but beach chairs are a simple necessity-- pony up Turtle Bay1

I am from the lake Tahoe Reno Nevada location. We are all about hospitality and guests in our area tourism is very important part of our economy. So with that I tend to have high expectations of the staff of any resort being friendly and helpful. And that is what I found immediately as we pulled up to turtle Bay resort. We were there for two nights from the minute we pulled up it was an experience. The valet staff and Bell staff were genuine friendly and funny. Very there to help us start our stay. Walked into the lobby and to the most beautiful open windows to the ocean view of the little lagoon,it was amazing!! The front desk staff was very friendly and very helpful. As we went to our rooms we open our door to a wonderful large size Junior suite with the most amazing views off the point at Turtlebay.
