My dad and I stayed at the Jamaica Inn the first week of January. It was our first time in Jamaica, and it will definitely not be the last. The grounds are gorgeous-healthy green plants, turquoise water, palm trees, and the soothing sound of the waves. The Jamaica Inn is about two hours from the Sangster Int'l Airport which is a pretty reasonable ride. There's plenty of fun activities and places to go near the resort, like scuba diving spots, boat tours, Mystic Mountain, and Dunn's River Falls. The front desk is super helpful and arranged tours for us. The resort's location is ideal-not too far from shops and activities, but still feels private and peaceful. The room was simple, clean, and comfortable. There are no clocks or TVs which really helps set a peaceful ambiance. My room had a veranda where I would sit when it rained so I could still appreciate the beach view. I also enjoyed a few of my breakfasts there. The food and drink were amazing-I tried jerk fish for the first time and had it almost every day we were there. In the evenings, we enjoyed our dinner with tasty rum cocktails and live music. There's also a grill down on the beach that serves pizza and has a great view. At breakfast we had fresh squeezed juice and fresh fruit each day. Everyone that works at the Jamaica Inn is so friendly and welcoming-housekeeping, shop, restaurant, musicians, front desk, drivers. They greet you in the morning with beautiful, kind smiles, ask you about your day and the activities you did, and get to know you, which I really appreciate. Their hospitality is what makes the experience a "luxury" one. Can't wait to come back!

My fiancé and I recently spent 10 days at the Jamaica Inn. While the inn itself was satisfactory old Caribbean style hotel a little too much on the quiet side, my experiences with their off property excursions was a very disappointing experience on multiple occasions. 1- We went to swim the the Dolphins. When we arrived the crowds were large and chaotic at the dolphin facility with most of the groups just watching or paying to touch the dolphins. We went all out and sprung for the highest level of interaction with the Dolphins. After an unacceptable 1.5 hour wait to get the experience underway, it was NOT what I have experienced in many other dolphin swims. We got all of 20 minutes for two interactions with the swimming dolphins for a ridiculous $300 plus $50 for transport. I don't know if Jamaica Inn marks the dolphin charges up too much or they just don't deliver a quality worthwhile experience for $350, but we were very disappointed in the wait time and cost. 2- We wanted to use our new snorkel masks and tried to set up snorkel tour with front desk. At first they only offered a short ride in your old beat up skiff out to a mediocre reef formation nearby. Others told us not to bother as the hurricane had covered the little reef with sand and debris and nothing their to see. We then asked the front desk to arrange a regular dive boat or cat for a more rewarding snorkeling experience. They arranged for a private boat at the City marina with a quoted cost of $47 per person plus $50 for transportation. When we arrived the marina it was totally disorganized and we ended up waiting while sitting on a glass bottom boat for about 45 minutes which we then advised tour operator that this was not an acceptable craft for snorkeling. They arranged a different more appropriate dive boat, but then told us that the 90 minute snorkeling trip was $94 PER PERSON, plus another $50 each way to get to and from your Inn. We protested that this was far more than quoted by your front desk and they said that we were told wrong. We told captain to forget it unless the whole trip could be done for $150, NOT the $288 they were trying to collect. He advised us that they wouldn't accept this offer and we left the marina very disappointed. 3- We went river rafting, which someone should have advised us that hurricane damage on the river made it a very sub par experience with trash and storm debris littering everywhere along the river. Again rafting was all of 20 minutes and charge was about $140 with transportation, a terrible value. Upon return to home, I wrote the hotel about the the unacceptable excursion experiences as to cost and quality. About 2 weeks later they wrote back while they were the ones to vet the off site vendors, they would accept no responsibility for their failure to provide anything close to a quality experience. I have now been in the Caribbean for 39 consecutive New Year's Eves and have been fortunate enough to stay at some of the great hotels/resorts this fantastic region has to offer like, Little Dix Bay, La Samanna, Cap Jaluca and many more, none of which failed so consistently to provide quality off property excursions. If you have any interest in leaving a quiet, but aging Caribbean resort and expect to enjoy more than peace and solitude, find another hotel other than the Jamaica Inn. Mark

Once again, we spent 7 beautiful days at Jamaica Inn. The lovely private bay that hosts the Inn is a spectacular place on earth. The beach is pristine and maintained at perfection by a dedicated team. At times, you are the only one in the turquoise ocean and the white-sand beach is quiet and never crowded. All rooms have verandas on the beach and some verandas even open up on the friendly water. The place is conducive to total relaxation and immersion in nature. Superb breakfasts, complementary rum punches on the beach at 11:00 am, complementary afternoon teas at 4:00 pm and lovely outdoor dinners under the stars make the stay just unsurpassed… perfect. The 1950s peaceful ambience is intentionally preserved. No TVs in the rooms, just books! And, yes, there is a library! I hope we’ll be able to go back for many years to come. It’s our special place.

My husband and I stayed at Jamaica Inn for a week for our honeymoon, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, thoughtful, and genuinely special. Of course, the natural beauty of Jamaica is stunning, as well as the overall cleanliness and serenity of the Inn, but what really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Every single interaction felt warm and personal, and it was clear how much care goes into creating such a special experience. Special shoutouts to Palmer, Ashalene, Patrick, Williams, and the entire housekeeping team — you all went above and beyond and made us feel so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. The spa was also completely life-changing — deeply relaxing, restorative, and unlike anything we’ve experienced before. It was the perfect complement to an already peaceful and romantic week. Jamaica Inn is truly a special place. We’ll cherish the memories from our honeymoon forever and cannot wait to return. Julia & Christopher XO!

⸻ I have been a loyal patron of Ocean Spa at Jamaica Inn for over five years, visiting at least once a month for massage services—and it has truly become my sanctuary. While every therapist is exceptionally skilled, professional, and attentive, Kenneth is my therapist of choice. His intuitive approach, consistency, and mastery make each session unforgettable. The experience begins the moment you arrive. From the security gate, where guest safety is clearly a top priority, you immediately feel welcomed and cared for. Upon entry, you’re greeted by an immaculate beachfront view that is simply unmatched—especially in the evening as the sun begins to set. It feels like a scene straight out of a movie. The walk to the spa is its own ritual. Lush foliage lines the pathway, creating a serene transition from the outside world into total relaxation. The sound of a cascading waterfall greets you upon arrival, setting the tone for what’s to come. The reception area is nothing short of amazing. You’re welcomed with your choice of a delicious herbal tea, refreshing water, or even champagne if you’re in a celebratory mood. Every detail feels intentional and indulgent. True to its name, Ocean Spa is exquisitely designed. Each treatment room faces the ocean, overlooking quiet, untouched spaces that embody true luxury. You feel completely immersed in nature—grounded, relaxed, and at peace to your core. The spa offers a thoughtfully curated selection of high-end products that perfectly complement their services. The staff is consistently accommodating, warm, and attentive, ensuring every visit feels personal and effortless. Ocean Spa is truly a one-of-a-kind island experience—a best kept secret in Jamaica. Five years in, and it still takes my breath away every single time. Mia
