Jamaica Inn

We recently returned to the Jamaica Inn, which is one of our favorite places for a relaxing vacation. It has an interesting history in terms of celebrities that have stayed there over the years including Winston Churchill, Sean Connery, Ian Fleming, Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller, Grace Kelly, and the list goes on. It is a self-contained resort with a beautiful “private” beach, swimming pool, crochet field, lovely restaurant, beach bar and restaurant, spa and a variety of different rooms, of which our favorite is the Blue Cottage. The first time we went we flew into Montego Bay, rented a car and drove to Ocho Rios (about a two-hour trip). However, I had forgotten that they drive on the “wrong” side of the road, so this time we had the Inn schedule a driver to meet us at the airport and take us both ways. The driver’s name was Oscar and he was a wealth of information about Jamaica, the Inn, the people, government, his family, et.al. He made the drive much more enjoyable. Plus, we really didn’t need a car as we never left the Inn. There are plenty of interesting things to see in that part of Jamaica, but you can always arrange for a driver to take you by car or by boat, which is much cheaper and less hassle. We would recommend a “half fare” plan for your meals, which provides you a full breakfast and dinner. We opted for breakfast on our porch every morning and enjoyed dinner at the Terrace or Teddy’s. The best part of the Jamaica Inn is the helpful and friendly staff. They make you feel so welcome. Once you try the Jamaica Inn you will want to “go home” again and again.

I hesitate to write this review at the risk of sharing this gem of a property , if you are looking for peace tranquility and the perfect beach this is your spot . Old school Jamaican hospitality, perfect escape, if you are looking for for all inclusive carnival cruise line loud busy resort this is not it , love Jamaica in and can't wait to return

My stay at Jamaica Inn was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, relaxed, and truly cared for. The level of service was exceptional, and every member of the staff was warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was delicious, with so many fresh and beautifully prepared options. The beach was stunning, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. Fresh towels were always available, and every detail throughout the property reflected thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality. What made this place truly special was the feeling of being at home. Jamaica Inn is elegant and luxurious, yet incredibly warm and inviting. I left with beautiful memories and a grateful heart. Thank you to the entire Jamaica Inn team for creating such an unforgettable experience. I cannot wait to return. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest places I have ever stayed, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and truly exceptional getaway. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
