We discovered this chateau by going to a local state tourist information center several years ago... The state employee at the tourist center would not recommend a place to stay, because it was not permitted. This was a long time prior to the existence of Tripadvisor. I believe another person present there recommended this chateau. Our room was spacious with a view of cows outside and the area was very bucolic. The dining room was spacious and we were served by a waiter-apprentice, who was a teen, and a little obnoxious, but the food and service was good (e.g., when he brought my desert, "La Dame Blanche", a meringue with ice cream and whipped cream, he asked "C'est qui la Dame Blanche". I replied that "il n'y a pas de dames á cette table.") We enjoyed the chateau immensely. I am pretty sure it was a weekend and the chateau was mostly used as a conference center, so it was pretty quiet on the weekend. The cost was not pricey, but it may have also been due to the rate of exchange. In all it was a nice quiet and pleasant chateau in the countryside and worth the stay and visit.

Recently enjoyed a three day conference at this Chateauform castle - Great atmospheric venue with lovely facilities and great staff - special thanks to the wonderful warm hosts and the superb kitchen team led by a fantastic chef - they all clearly have a passion for what they do. The bedrooms are a little bit on the dark side and could do with some better lighting but that would be my only negative. They have a great sauna area as well - Would definitely recommend

The chateau is perfect for conferences and company 'retreats' - indeed this is no normal hotel, in that it focuses specifically on private groups. The bedrooms are basic but comfortable, most importantly the beds and bathrooms are sufficient. The noise levels are very low. What I liked most about the short stay was the food which was cooked with care, creativity and attention to detail. The hotel has fine facilities for recreation when guest are not engaged in business related activities and also a fine selection of whisky! Lastly the staff and management know how to run the place efficiently and effectively, they clearly love their work.

sauf les chambres... salle de bain vieillote, air frais autour des fenetres, rideaux non occultants, matelas trop dur (mais neuf).... cote restauration, le chef est tres doué, les plats servis sont tres bons. L'endroit est magnifique Les salles de reunions vieillissantes

Hôtel très froid en cette période. Gérants condescendants et autoritaires. Prestations très médiocres.bouteilles à moitié vides, pas de réapprovisionnement des aliments,... Salle de bain vétuste (le rideau de douche se decroche à la première manipulation). On ne s'y sent pas du tout comme à la maison!! Ne mérite pas ses étoiles et le rapport qualité prix est décevant.
