The Resort at Squaw Creek is as picturesque as it comes. The grounds and facilities are top shelf. They do lack considerably in the ability to stage events in there outdated convention area, however, the view, service and quality of the resteraunts takes the edge off the outdated convention area. The AV company that serves this property is amateur at best. I would recommend this property for a personal or family vacation destination, however. Be prepared to dig deep into the pockets for a trip there, but for the most part, it's worth the money.

I only stayed one night so didn't partake of most resort amenities. The room was very nice and I would stay here again. The fitness center had a good assortment of free weights, machines and aerobic equipment but it is not open 24 hours. I snuck in before the opening time of 6 but not sure if that will always work as I did hear the lock click open at 6 a.m. I had trouble getting bell service, with no one at the desk. I also was not automatically sent a copy of my bill which seems strange. I had seen conflicting reports of whether or not pets were okay. I called and they said no. When I got there, several people had pets. If I were to go again I would call and challenge the "no" answer.

We recently had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at this beautiful resort. The layout of this property is perfect although there are quite a few steps to access various locations ie pool, terrace etc. Fitness room was clean, neat and just right for our needs. Technogym equipment was new. We had a suite room on the 7th floor which was well furnished and replete with all necessary kitchen items if in room dining desired. Beds were exceptionally comfortable but the AC was a bit loud so bring your ear plugs. The main room had a commanding and magnificent view of the valley and golf course...stunning. Housekeeping was exceptional and accomodating. The golf course itself was beautiful but in fair condition due to the incredible amount of snow this winter and apparently the snow was still around until at least mid May. Our dining experience at Six Peaks Grille was wonderful and expensive but the Steelhead trout dish was worth it! We also enjoyed dining al fresco at Sandy's Pub. There is one person that requires special acknowledgment, Jacob Estrada the Assistant Front Office Manager. The resort is truly fortunate that Jacob is on their team, he is the model of excellence in hospitality(one of the younger and apparently newer female employees could learn a lot from his skill sets re: personality) and we were treated like special guests in his home. He exemplified all that one could hope for in this career field...personable, polite, very friendly/pleasant, accommodating, welcoming and highly competent. He made our stay that much more enjoyable.

Although we're here for a conference, the facilities are excellent for families and even multi-generational visits. We're planning on returning with grand-kids (but NOT their parents) to enjoy the 3-1/2' deep pool, water slide, rental bikes, giant chess/checkers and more. The location is quiet and beautiful with views of Squaw Valley Ski Resort and Village. The food is excellent, whether eating at the cafe or restaurant. We found the beds to better than most "timeshare" properties: excellent mattress and linens. A special shout out to the folks in the bike rental shop for taking time to ensure we had the right size, comfortable seats and helmets.

Excellent venue with great attention to detail. We were only friends at the wedding but the parents of the couple were very satisfied with the total experience. Beautiful setting! Excellent staff and food.
