This was a great setting for obtaining requisite continuing legal education credits. The hotel room - fireplace suite - was beautiful and extremely comfortable. There are several restaurants to choose from, and they set up a bar in the beautiful lobby each afternoon. Lots of outside stone terraces with fireplaces or fire pits - really nice. Will look forward to returning again for more classes.

This resort has a lot to offer. It needs a better solution for the laundry and a little tightening up of room service and it would be great. Rooms need to be clean when you come back after a long day and the food service to the rooms needs to be improved. The restaurants are a good choice, pools, shuttle to Squaw Valley, stores, and staff are all really nice. We all had a great time.

I visited the Spa and it was very good. A bit pricey and a bit clinical in feel, rather than luxurious, but the massage therapist was excellent. The staff is quite helpful and worked with me to schedule the appointment through complications. Would recommend if you are in the area or staying at the hotel.

This resort was in an outstanding location for a winter holiday! The ski/ski out was fabulous. The valet service was outstanding. As well as the signature restaurant: Six Peaks-the food was great but the service was over the top! It was one of the best experiences we have had!the spa however was not up to par, the attendants were not helpful, the amenities were poor and the sauna was not working.

We've been staying in Fireplace Suites here at the Resort at Squaw Creek for 8 years now. They have everything you need in a resort while still maintaining charm, coziness and care for their guests. The views are spectacular of the mountain from most rooms; the almost full kitchens reduce meal spending to put that cost towards another day of skiing; their shuttle takes you right to Squaw Valley Ski resort in 5 minutes; North Star is only 30 min away as is the lake of Lake Tahoe; there's a beautiful ice skating ring complete with waterfall; there's a Ski in Ski out lift at the base of the resort, complete with rental shop; the Spa is pretty nice; their complete awesome work out room has a great view of the ice skating; there are outdoor hot tubs even in the snow (careful of slipping on black ice, do not use spa slippers in the winter out there!!!); two lovely outdoor pools; a formal and a casual restaurant, both great; holiday events complete with a huge ginger-house display; kids activities so mom & dad get a break; kids movie theater set up; 2 beautiful outdoor fire pits; an outdoor bar; mild sledding and snow ball fights right underneath the property; a gorgeous front entry way complete with huge log fireplace and comfy couches set up family style - at least 14 families could easily pull up a chair there and there's even drink cart service as well. It's absolutely the best winter stay in Lake Tahoe, without being on the Lake. In the summer I'm sure it's spectacular because of their golf course. I'm hoping they keep that course open as there were rumblings that it might turn into more buildings. Which would be a shame as we'd forgo staying there without that amazing view. If that's a future plan, go there while you can still enjoy the open space in and long beautiful expanse between the resort and the skiing area. Simply spectacular.
