I really enjoyed the property and ski lodge feel. Our room was wonderful and had a beautiful view of the forest. There were many activities for individuals even if you don't ski. We took the opportunity to snowshoe from Squaw Creek over to Squaw Valley and back, it was lovely!

Rooms are connected so you will hear your neighbor. You can hear people from the hallway in your room, so if you are a light sleeper, beware. I had several problems with both rooms where I stayed including a very foul smell in one room and a backed up sink.

Our visit to the hotel was a wonderful get a way. The view from our room was fantastic and having the chair lift at the hotel was so convenient. The staff at the Resort was very helpful and we were given an upgrade. We will be back!

Great location for a ski weekend. The hotel is well maintained and the staff is excellent. You can leave your ski gear with the staff and use the shuttle to get to the mountain. I only have two criticisms : the parking is terrible. It is not covered and is a long walk in the snow to get to the lobby. You do have the option of choosing valet for $40 a night. My other complaint is about Sandy's Pub. A sign at the entrance says wait to be seated. We waited while the hostess stood at the bar talking to the bartender. We finally just walked in and she finally finished her conversation and said sit anywhere! The food and the service was terrible. I have noticed many other reviews saying basically the same thing . You would think management would address this problem? Other than those issues it is a great place to stay.

There's so much great to say I can't include it all. Here are the basics: -- Great ski-in, ski-out accommodations for skiing at the best spots in Tahoe-- Squaw & Alpine -- All staff INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful -- Location gorgeous -- Rooms beautiful and well-appointed and on and on. I can't imagine skiing Tahoe and staying anyplace else. Only two small gripes: Resort needs better solutions for breakfast when busy: Only on-site options were a $27 per person breakfast buffet (no ala carte options) OR breakfast at their coffee shop (Starbucks knockoff), where it took me more than 30 minutes to get a breakfast sandwich on day two, despite all staff working at full steam. I recognize the units have kitchens but when there's weather, there's no grocery store anywhere close to get to. Also, valet, while friendly is slow and congested when busy. Even calling down one day 30 minutes in advance, the car still wasn't there and when they finally got it, we were blocked in for about 15 minutes more.
