The hotel had many activities for kids, even during snow season - heated pool, hot tub, sledding hill, ice skating, game room. For intermediate skier/snowbarder, there's a lift at the property where you can ski down right into Squaw Valley resort. The hotel provides shuttle to Squaw every 30 mins which is super convenient. The hotel valets your skis/snowboard at the shuttle. A staff was waiting by the shuttle at the end of the day serving cookies, which was a great treat. Overall, we loved the amenities and great service! We'll be back!

The Resort at Squaw Creek definitely knows how to train their staff for the perfect atmosphere to support their prices. Unfortunately, the resort itself has some simple cosmetic and maintenance issues that reduced my rating to 4 dots. From the moment we stepped onto the property the staff were friendly, accommodating and really made you feel like you were visiting friends. The resort had gotten 6" of snow the week before and then we received another 4-6" while we were there so the slopes were in fairly great shape. There were some rather large icy patches but if you're a fairly good skier/snowboarder you'll see them. Although the Village has outside vendors servicing the guests, they also had a very welcoming attitude. We got there on a Saturday and there was a party atmosphere with music playing and all kinds of street vendors offering things for sale or adventures to take. The atmosphere changed a bit come Monday and although it was a holiday weekend, the mountain was considerably emptier. On Tuesday we felt like we shared the slopes with about 100 people!! We stayed in room 960 and WOW!!! What a view!!! Absolutely incredible!!! Coming from the East Coast we were up every morning by nature to see the sun rise up over the mountains and it was spectacular! The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are basically clouds!! We stayed at the Resort 19 years ago and it was in much better condition. The simplest repairs would have made a huge difference. For example: The bottom of a drawer in the master suite dresser was falling out and made the drawer almost completely useless. The bathroom door and case moulding had severe evidence that a dog had been locked in there much longer than it wanted to be. Our fireplace needed to be serviced twice while we were there because it wouldn't light. Someone on staff at the Resort may take offense that I wrote about it here without telling them first, but honestly, those simple items should be handled in-house. For what we paid to stay there, my job is to enjoy myself, not submit work orders. Overall, the Staff at the Resort were exceptional! And I will stay there again when the time comes. And I will even ask for the same room just for the sheer awesomeness of that view!!!!

Excellent resort to get away from home and great customer service. The environment is very friendly, and there is so much to do. My daughter ice skated for the first time on their own rink. I was able to get in some good exercise in their fantastic fitness center.

This is our second stay at the Resort at Squaw Creek in the fireplace one bedroom suite. It's amazing how we can head up for a holiday week and not feel crowded. We had a great family time at the resort, and would strongly recommend it for families.

Horrible rooms unless you are part of a large party. All the kings seemingly connect to a suite and you can hear through the walls and the doors as if you were standing next to them. The service is solid but since you cannot sleep it's hard to take advantage. Also, several of these rooms are 'ownership properties' and the owners definitely treat it like their home... Towels, drinks, food just place everywhere they wanted to throw things down.
