Wallpaper falls off the walls but great location for skiing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The hotel needs upgrades! Wallpaper is falling off the walls. The coffeemaker in the room does not work. No hooks in the room to hang up wet ski wear. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable. The "Suite with Fireplace and Forest View" is supposed to sleep 5 people, but only with a rollaway bed that is charged at $20 a night and is also very uncomfortable. Room service was skipped one day, and we did not even get fresh towels, although we called housekeeping twice. The hot tub did not have towels one night. The main restaurant did not have availability for us to have dinner for our whole stay (6 days). EV charger was not available as the valet said, "there is a long waiting list of cars that want to be charged". Valet parking also was not available as they had no more space. Location right at the ski lift and trail is great, and the ski valet will give you skis every morning and take them in the evening!

We will be back!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Everline with the kids. What stood out most for us was the excellent customer service. We had two nights booked (third night was full when booking online). At check-in we inquired about adding a third night if a room became available. The front desk manager worked with the reservations department to get us a third night AND we were able to upgrade to their penthouse room (2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, full kitchen, incredible views) for a reasonable price. This was not a ski trip for us, so we took advantage of the other winter activities, such as sledding and ice skating. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly helpful and attentive. We will be coming back. Side note, I stayed at this property many times as a kid in the 90s when it first opened. It hadn’t changed a ton, but is very well maintained. There is a few stores and restaurants onsite, and a shuttle than runs every 30 minutes into Palisades village.

Everline review based on stays over the past 20 years

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We've been coming here for 20 years, since is was called Resort at Squaw Creek. This place is nice; heated pool and hot tubs on site. Rooms are usually clean, but it's hit or miss. Expect to pay $50/ day resort fee for a small gym facility with a nice locker room. There's a lift that goes directly to the Palisades ski resort, and a shutttle that takes patrons to/ from the Palisades village very 30 min.

Fantastic hotel. Would recommend. We enjoyed our stay in December over New Years. Really wonderful location, beautiful outdoor area. Over all we were very happy with our stay.

Dissapointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Though the location was nice, everything else was below par. Staff unhelpful. No one willing to help us book tickets for palisade through hotel to get the discounts. No one explained what’s needed and what’s not needed for a first time skier. Room was extremely cold. Hotel decor dated and food was wayyy overpriced.
