My daughter was married here last weekend. The resort is beautiful and they really know how to carry out a wedding. The ceremony was held on the terrace, overlooking the golf course and the mountains. The dinner/dance was in a beautifully decorated ballroom. A distinguishing characteristic of the resort is the staff. They are real pros who expended great effort to make sure everything was perfect. A special thanks to Andre, Terra, Melissa, and the whole resort team.

It was a decent stay this go around- seems like the resort is getting tires- the staff is getting extremely unenthusiastic about all aspects of the word "resort" and what their hosting should be. Honestly can day we will not be back for our bi yearly visit.

Awesome place for a conference! Tons of conference room space. Several cool places to eat on resort campus (fancy dinner place, sports bar, pizzeria, and sandwich shop). Tons of stuff for kids to do (swimming pool, lawn checkers and chess, corn hole, etc). Very short drive/ride to Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe (Northwest side of lake). Only difficult thing about the area was not having cell service to get Uber or Lyft ride. Able to get a ride eventually, but took some effort due to lack of drivers in the area and the intermittent signal.

Great resort, but make sure there are not large events going on at the time of your visit. There were three large weddings the weekend we visited which made our stay somewhat unenjoyable (late night noise and music).

I am very torn on how to review my 10 night stay... I'll give it my best shot. My spouse was attending the UCSF conference and we've attended before several years ago. I was pleased that Destination Resorts took over the management of the hotel, I'm a fan of Manor Vail and was hoping for a similar experience. From the first second we arrived we were unimpressed by the actions of the front desk in selecting our room Instead of giving us a room without an adjoining door which we requested we were sent to a room with adjoining door. We returned to desk and somehow they were able to find a room without one. Why not do this immediately, why make us schlepp our luggage all the way up to room and back only to give us what we wanted? Poor customer service is the answer. Room was nice but the major complaint is that you can hear a bag rustle in the hallway, not to mention the doors slamming, kids yelling, parents yelling, people talking on phone outside our room at all hours of the morning and night. Even with earplugs the rudeness of the other guests was mind boggling. Clearly, there is no soundproofing around the doors. For the prices that are being charged to stay here this totally unacceptable. Thank goodness we didn't have an adjoining door or I'd be totally annoyed. We stayed 10 nights so I saw a lot of guests coming and going. They hold many weddings here and the inconsiderate people attending these events are especially noticeable on the weekends. The nice things about room were decent air conditioning, fluffy towels, good water pressure, comfortable bed excepted it squeaked when getting in and out of bed. Little kitchenette was handy as was the room safe. Requested early housekeeping and they did as I requested. Parking is a pain. If you valet it's $25/day. The self park lot if requires a lot of stairs and walking. The cars are parked helter skelter because there are no painted lines in this lot to direct people where to park. There are pot holes all over this lot and it could use some paving and striping. Pool is beautiful, but completely overrun with undisciplined kids that run amok splashing, screaming, running and generally annoying to those trying to enjoy the facility. Why not have a life guard? Why not have security to monitor all this obnoxious behavior? The parents show very little responsibility for the behavior and supervision of their kids. Same people disturbing in the hallways are continuing their rude entitled behavior by the pool. Disgusting and truly a shame for those of us who respect others around us. Restaurants were generally very good. Pool server that commented on how much my spouse ate could use some customer service training. Overall the food and service were decent. The setting and amenities of resort are top notch. The guests not so much. They must be making a fortune on their catering/wedding functions to allow the party goers to disturb all the other guests continuously with their rude, drunken and loud behavior. Hope it's worth for you because I will definitely think twice about staying here in the future. As I said, the place is potentially great, but the people spoil it. Thus my conflicted review.
