Another great stay! Thanks for everything!

This was my second stay here and it was lovely. I love the floral scent in the lobby. They need a candle of that. We definitely booked this hotel because of the fast passes but it also such a nice experience. Checked in early in the morning to get our room keys and fast passes for a day at the park. The fast passes are good for the day you check out as well. So its like 2 days of fast passes for 1 night at the hotel. It works out to be a great deal. Lines were not too bad this time of year, but its still nice to have them. Quick check-in. Wish the pool had been open, but it was undergoing maintenance. They offered to let us use the pool at Sapphire Falls but we opted to rest our feet and just do the hot tub instead. Love the water taxi, but its about the same to walk.

Good hotel, great distance to the park, water taxi is nice. Rooms are clean and overall great hotel and atmosphere. No complaints. - Rooms are much more updated than Portofino.

10/10 Experience with my family! A must do for Universal!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We stayed here for 1 night during our family holiday with my partner, sister & 2 year old son. The hotel was beautiful from the moment we walked into the lobby. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. The hotel stay is such a unique experience when doing the Universal Parks. We have done universal many times in the past, but had never stayed in one of their resorts. Doing this really changed the way you enjoy the parks. You walk around 5-7 minutes to enter the park via City Walk or you can take the water taxi right into the foot of the parks. I loved it! Especially after a long day of walking you can just jump onto the water taxi and you’re at your hotel. The rooms were spacious, modern and immaculate. It was amazing! This is the way we will be doing Universal in the future!

Loved it!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I stayed at Royal Pacific for 3 nights in mid-April, with my mom and 2 kids (age 9 and 6). We loved it, and would definitely go back. The hotel and landscaping are absolutely beautiful. Getting the Unlimited Express Passes was a huge perk! Plus the location can’t be beat. Check in: We arrived a few hours before check-in time but we were still allowed to do a “pre check in” and were given our room keys. I was told I would get a text when our room was ready, and bell services would deliver our bags right to the room. We waited and waited and the text never came. We went to the desk, and turns out that the floor where our room was hadn’t even begun to be cleaned yet, so they gave us a new room number that was already clean, and just had to make us new keys. I thought this was a bit weird, that the room number was already assigned but wouldn’t have been ready until well after check-in time. Not a huge deal. Room: For a single hotel room, it was pretty roomy! We had plenty of space for 4 suitcases and a bunch of backpacks. Beds were comfy. Our only issue was that the bathroom had a sliding door (why??) and one day it fell off the track. We called the desk and they said they could have someone up to fix it within an hour, but it was already around 8pm and the kids had to go to bed, so we just asked them to come the next morning, and just had to deal with one awkward night of the door not really closing. Pool: The pool is huge and very nice. You can use floats, noodles, beach balls, etc. which is rare at hotels IMO. Not sure if the hotel provided these, or if people brought their own. You could see Doctor Doom’s Fearfall at IOA right from the pool which was pretty cool. During the day they played music and did games for the kids every hour (hula hoop contest, bingo, etc.) Dining: There is a restaurant out by the pool. Each lounge chair had a QR code so you could order right from your seat and they would deliver it to you. There were also servers walking around taking food and drink orders if you would rather order that way, or could go sit at the actual restaurant. We only did the QR method, super easy. Food was good! We did not eat at any of the other onsite restaurants so I can’t comment on those. We also did the Luau (dinner and show) and wouldn’t do it again. It was very expensive, and we didn’t really enjoy the show. The kids were super bored. Dinner was from 6-7 and then the show was 7-8. It would have been better in my opinion if the show had started earlier while people were still eating. It dragged on too long this way. Food was great though! Good buffet options for both adults and kids. Market: The Tuk Tuk Market is located off the lobby and had a good selection of food, snacks, drinks, pastries, Starbucks coffee etc. My kids loved the massive soft pretzels (literally bigger than your head!). Transportation: To get to the parks, you could walk (maybe about 8-ish minutes) or take the boat. Both were very easy. The walkway brings you out right next to Margaritaville in City Walk, so is definitely closer to the IOA side. If you take the boat, the dropoff is more in the middle of the two parks. One thing to keep in mind – you go through metal detectors before getting on the boat, or before you exit in CityWalk if you took the walking path. They day we walked to the park in the morning, the metal detector line was pretty long in the morning, so it may be faster to just take the boat (no line there). Overall, we loved this hotel and will definitely be back!

Canadian Couple trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My husband and I stays in this resort 5 nights. Everything in the hotel is good. It’s so good that I could say, even more than we really need. However, I disappointed with Martin and Kailey from front desk. Martin got my credit card for a HOLD and never said the deposit will be charged to my card (1380 CAD). So when I noticed the charged, I talked to Kailey (girl). She told me it happened because was an international card, (strange only requested there) and she promised me to have an answer why Martin never mentioned this procedure and a manager will contact me….. never got any explanation or answer back from them. Sad to see the lack of service conduct. For the rest, conveniente hotel. Note: early access to the park is not really access… there were at least 500 in from of us to get in the park early… Other thing: They want to hear from your experience next day…. Silly expectation when we were in vacation. Overall, good place to stay
