Reviews for Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Nice stay but still room for improvements

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We stayed at the Waldorf for one night and really enjoyed our stay. The Disney balcony room is 100 percent worth it. Things we loved: room, amenities in the room, temperature of the pool, bull and bear restaurant and service. Things that can be improved, despite having a do not disturb sign on our door, house keeping entered 2x while we were in room, billing errors so check! They corrected it, but I had to flag it and breakfast is very mediocre in the restaurant, it reminds me of breakfast you get at an airport lounge.

Avoid this hotel. Disappointing all around

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Hi - we stayed at Waldorf Astoria Orlando for 4 nights from 04/14 to 04/18. the stay was honestly quite disappointing, in fact probably ranking toward the bottom amongst Hilton properties we stayed at. 1. The room key was buggy and just didn't work. During our 4-night stay, we had to have it replaced 3 times. Twice because we couldn't get into our room and once I was stuck in the self-parking garage where the room key is needed to exit. It almost caused us to be late for our timed entrance into a Disney theme park. We've stayed at many hotels (including Hilton properties) in the past and this simply has never happened, let alone a Waldorf property. 2. We had issues with shower which was extremely hot and couldn't be adjusted. It took two nights to resolve this and our showers in the meantime had to be extremely short to avoid burns. 2. At around 9pm the night of 04/17, a room service staff member knocked on our door and entered our suite without us answering. We were all asleep (including our 1yr old baby). The baby woke up and it took us quite some time to put him back to sleep. We were perplexed why there would be house keeping at 9pm. 3. We ordered room service on the night of 04/16 and one of the dishes was a chicken noodle soup. It was so salty neither my wife or I could even eat one spoonful. Somebody did come by the next day to apologize and told us this has happened a few times in the past. This is not a complaint about the dish not meeting our personal taste. It was so salty that the soup was inedible. 4. While checking out, I spotted multiple errors on the final bill amounting to an overcharge of almost $200 (original amount ~$550, final amount $385). I've simply never seen this happen at any Hilton properties ever. I wouldn't expect this at much lower class hotels. I'm genuinely stunned that Hilton could let this happen.

Hotel is very nice, clean, friendly staff and good food. I stayed here a few times in the past, and was never disappointed. The only thing I don’t really like is that the pool closes fairly early, and it’s busy with a lot of loud children. Other than that, very nice place.

First Class Hotel

Our third time here and always first class. Staff is exceptional in every area of the hotel. We always feel special when here and will be back. Lobby restaurant was very good and wait staff very knowledgeable on wine, cheeses, etc. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant.

The good the bad the better next door at Signia

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

First off the good: Hunter at the front desk checked me in. He was super friendly and efficient and definitely knew what he was doing. The room was immaculate and clean. Very spacious with appropriate decor for a Waldorf. The bad: my room wasn’t ready until after 5 pm and after I had digitally checked in but my room was pending all day until I followed up. It was also next to the elevator bank, so light sleepers beware! I wanted a view though. But I suggest the east side away from the elevator. The better: I have stayed next door at Signia, formerly known as Hilton bonnet creek for over 15 years. HUGE shout out to Kim the wonderful lady at the marketplace that works nights and always has greeted me with a smile. The lazy River is amazing and the atmosphere is more laid back and happy. Hard to explain but due to it being sold out I stayed at the Waldorf. I recommend the Waldorf if you want the brand appeal but the Signia is outstanding in every aspect.
