We had a wonderful experience for Sunday afternoon tea in Peacock Alley. Erick Lopez, our waiter, was very attentive and nice. The staff was very professional. The teas and food were delicious ! Great variety of teas, sandwiches and desserts. We will come back in the future.

The Waldorf Astoria go above and beyond....for a while I was debating whether staying off Disney property made sense....as I used to stay off property but more recently have been staying on property, and I think the wonderful experience I had last week at the Waldorf confirms this for me - staying in luxury off property makes the Disney experience so much more relaxing and enjoyable. The transport is good with a pre timed shuttle bus, but the biggest positives for the property are the quality of facilities, the truly incredible spa / sauna / steam room, the delightful pool setting and public amenities. The bed is delightful and bathrooms are perfection. If you have a Disney view room you can also relax and enjoy the fireworks from afar for the nights when you choose to leave the parks earlier. I would definitely go back to the Waldorf and highly recommend it. A wonderful experience.

The hotel is a Waldorf and as such you expect a certain standard. Its amazing how often hotels get that wrong despite charging high prices. Not the Waldorf. From start to finish the service was outstanding. Everyone was smiling, polite and engaging. The hotel itself is in a great location for the parks. Only slight negative is its a conference mecca - there's always something going on but to be honest it didn't impact our holiday at all. Nice pool outside again with great service. The room was a good size, clean, modern and we had a wonderful view of the fireworks. The food in the bar and restaurants was also outstanding. And they had cigars which gets an extra star in my book. Excellent hotel, made so by the staff.

We booked this hotel for two night with the main purpose of playing golf at their wonderful golf course. I could not book the golf when I booked the room as I was told I had to do this nearer the time. As I could not find an email for the GC I contacted the the hotel and asked them to book the tee time for me. I did not get a reply but did received an email saying the hotel was looking forward to welcoming us and if there was anything they could do? So I emailed them and again asked them to book a tee time. Again I had no replay but thought a top hotel would sort it. How very wrong I was!! We arrived to find the hotel had a very large business function on while we were staying and they had booked out the golf so we could not play at all. We were very disappointed and their lack of communication is not acceptable for a top hotel. We would not have stayed if it was not for the golf. I wrote a complaint to them on their web site under general but of course I did not get a reply. On the up side the breakfast is the best and the hotel is lovely but it is expensive.....Especially when full of business people and you don't get the one thing you went there for.

Got there early and checked in with a minimum upgrade from a Waldorf Corner Suite to a fireworks view Waldorf Corner Suite. For the price paid the view should be automatic. Consider the room price + the resort fee + $35/parking (In Orlando???) WOW We were there under an AMEX FHR reservation so the upgrade was kinda expected. Big room with a strange floorplan (1 1/2 bathrooms but both bathrooms are inside the master bedroom). Overall it was an OK trip but seemed to have the second team on the job everywhere. The following items should have been in the room: We needed extra shampoo and soap - tip We needed umbrellas - tip We needed a wine bottle opener - tip extra towels - tip daily newspaper delivered to room - tip asked for more "bars of soap" - got "bowls for soup" - tip water in room (says we get 2 a day not 2 per trip) - they sell evian at $6/bottle in the room - tip towels for pool - tip $6 for a cup of coffee that should be free. you get my drift! Spa day pass is included in the resort fee (steam/sauna showers/jacuzzi) - world class There were several corporate groups at the hotel that seemed to be well taken care - i was a little jealous - especially when they closed the pool at 2:00 the day we planned on being there for a corporate event. Why? They have so much room to have these parties all over the place. Close the pool? Really? They did shuttle us to the Hilton next door. Bull and Bear is excellent - figure $100/person w/o alcohol. Need to shop around for next trip - this baby slipped significantly and they charge for everything now! Expect a business hotel environment with expense accounts covering the nut DO NOT expect the Four Seasons (pay more upfront but they don't nickel and dime for everything else).
