Lovely Hotel – location very good
Arrived late in the evening and met with warm friendly service at the reception and quickly sorted with key to room. Room was nice and comfortable. Not the biggest room but nice nonetheless. I didn’t spend long in the hotel but the bar was a nice place to be and the breakfast was very slick with all food well presented. Location was superb for travel to and from the airport by train and for getting around Oslo. Upon checkout, the process was as smooth as check in and the staff friendly and efficiency.

Your concierge is always very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect in walking distance to any landmark in the compact city.

Catching cruise out of Oslo.
The rooms and restaurants are clean. The hotel bar and restaurant are expensive. The breakfast was good. Easy to take the train from airport and short cab ride. Close to cruise ships.

3 stars at best
This would be an adequate 3 star hotel. However, for 5 stars, I expect a clean carpet (not just vacuumed but clean), bathroom amenities beyond the basics, and quiet rooms that don't carry sound. The 4-5 floor requires dragging luggage up and down a small flight of stairs, for which no assistance was offered (nor was it in the lobby to climb the stairs to the lift). There are several charming 5-star hotels in Oslo; I suggest one of those as an alternative.

Grand indeed
Perfect location in center of town. Right next to Parliament House and down the street from presidential palace. Hotel is very beautiful.
