We stayed at Hotel Methis for one night in June, as Padua was a good stopping point between Venice and Milan. We arrived at 10 PM and check-in took forever -- the front desk clerk asked what type of room we needed and then disappeared for at least 20 minutes (I think she was cleaning the room). On getting to the room we were immediately disappointed -- it looked nothing like the photos online. The room was dark and dingy; the bathroom was also not clean and I could not bring myself to shower or use their towels. To make matters worse, the mattress was maybe 4 inches thick. If we were not checking in so late in the evening, we would certainly have found another place to stay. In the morning it became clear that we were the only people staying in this terrible hotel. We were the only guests at breakfast, and after 10 minutes of no service I had to go and find someone to give us coffee. To top off this terrible stay, in the hallway the cleaning staff was arguing loudly when we left. This was a very unpleasant stay and I would have preferred to sleep in our rental car.

the hotel is well located walking distance from the center of old city. lots of resturants around. the room itself was ok. the bed was not so comfterble. the tab was old. but, it was cleaned well every day. the reception team were nice and welcoming. breakfest was ok..

Nice little boutique hotel in Padova

Super stay at this little gem by the river in Padova - a small walk from the great square (apparent the second largest in Europe). Little gym with old machines but fine - nice clean rooms and really nice breakfast. Will be back

Boutiqueish tourist hotel near city centre

In between a tourist hotel and a boutique place, the Methis is a short walk by the river from the historical centre. Good rooms, somewhat minimal breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. Great place to do Padua.

Good location where you can walk within 15 min to main attractions of Padua. Good Parking lot at hotel. Nice staff, good breakfast, wifi working good. Comfortable and clean room. The only thing that needs improvement is the AC, it was not working well and it was hot. Except for that, we had a good one-night stay.
