Elbow Beach, Bermuda in Paget, Bermuda

Only five minutes from the country capital of Hamilton, 50 lush acres of manicured gardens at Elbow Beach, Bermuda set the scene for this luxurious beach escape. The verdant grounds gently slope down toward a private half-mile stretch of pink sand beach – the longest of any resort in Bermuda – and the turquoise waters beyond. Built in 1908 and recently rejuvenated, the hotel features 98 airy rooms set in the main building and charming low-slung cottages. Each room heralds a contemporary Caribbean vibe with tones reflecting sand and sea. Guests can relax on chaise lounges on the lanai-style patios in the well kitted-out quarters. Among must-have amenities rooms offer high-definition televisions, wireless Internet access, audio systems with iPod docking stations and personal Espresso machines. Separate walk-in rain showers and deep soaking tubs as well as top-tier complimentary toiletries come standard in each of the chic bathrooms.

Although it is tempting to lounge on the picture-perfect beach all day, try some of the numerous on-site activities. The resort has five tennis courts – three of them lit for night play – a massive heated free-form swimming pool, and guests can arrange for Scuba excursion at the beachside PADI-certified dive shop. Ready to relax after adventuring? Schedule some adult-time and drop the young’uns off at the resident Kids Club. Then get pampered at the Asian-inspired spa sanctuary that has six ultra-private spa suites, a foot ritual chair, and outdoor daybeds. Guests may pick from four on-site restaurants. The standout is Lido Restaurant where patrons have gorgeous vistas of the Caribbean Sea while tucking into Pan-Mediterranean cuisine enhanced by tropical influences such as the popular Bouillabaisse Revisited made with shrimp, scallops and little neck clams. For post-prandial drinks, there are several choices: Sip crafty cocktails accompanied by magnificent ocean views at Sea Breeze terrace, settle in a plush leather sofa at Deep Lounge, or mosey on over to the Mickey's Beach Bar to see the sun go down 30 feet from the water’s edge. Less than a three-hour flight from many US East Coast cities, Elbow Beach, Bermuda is the ideal destination for a swift yet relaxing vacation even on a tight schedule.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. The beef stir fry was the best I've ever had. Beautiful ambiance and staff are attentive and knowledgeable. My friend had an enormous beef burger and he finished every bite!

We have been using Elbow Beach for years. It is located on the best Beach in Bermuda. The staff and facilities are the best we have seen on the Island. The tennis and spa activities are great. David, the tennis pro, will find you a competitive game or someone to hit with. The Lido Complex and Mickey's have a wide range of sensational meals. Although we do leave you could spend your whole vacation at the resort.

Location of this hotel is great, just above the beautiful elbow beach. The location is very convenient and well connected next to the main road. Elbow beach itself is amazingly! The stretch of this mile long beach with the turquoise water, and rocks are really photogenic view. Hotel room is spacious and clean. They are perched on top of the gentle hill above the beach and with a light stroll, you can see beaches and greens, so Bermudian! We haven't got the breakfast package, so it adds onto the bill a lot. That is a bit regrettable though.

I visited the lobby, pool decks, the grounds, had lunch at the Lido and a beer at Mickey - fabulously decadent hotel in a truly Carribean flare and British chick - the Coral Beach connects with Elbow Beach some of the nicest sands and turquoise waters - you have money - go there!

Returned to Elbow Beach Hotel for a Thursday to Monday weekend. It was our third visit since we honeymooned there 25 years ago. Absolutely love this place but are concerned about its future. They are only using the bungalow rooms and have closed all the rooms in the main hotel. Grounds and buildings are in need of some serious work but for what was left the people could not have been nicer. Let's hope the Saudi prince that owns this place decides to pump some money into it or sell it to someone who will.
