Newstead Belmont Hills in Paget, Bermuda
When Newstead Belmont Hills opened in 2008, it was the first new resort development in Bermuda in 35 years. Modern rooms with hardwood floors and mosaic-tiled marble bathrooms enjoy views of Hamilton Harbor, where complimentary water taxis take guests to destinations across the island. Golfers won’t want to miss tee time at the Algie M. Pulley, Jr.-designed 18-hole course overlooking the Great Sound – a complimentary round is included with each stay.
Get your blood flowing with an early morning tennis match. Lounge the day away at the edge of the harborside infinity pool. Take a quick jaunt over to a pink-sand beach and scour the shore for shells. Book a corner table for dinner, feeling the Bermudan breeze bid farewell to the sun’s last rays. Feast on fresh sashimi – unangi, ebi, ikura, maguro and salmon caviar – paired with a glass of chilled chardonnay.

Reviews for Newstead Belmont Hills
Great location, fabulous food, nice infinity pool and hot tub, wonderful staff, outstanding spa services, and comfortable accommodations. Ferry service takes you to Hamilton in five minutes. Our room didn't overlook the ocean, per se, however, we had a great view of Hamilton Harbour and the City of Hamilton. My daughter and I stayed at this resort for five nights and the only annoyance was that our room adjoined another room and the multiple guests in the next room were quite noisy during our last two nights. We will not let that stop us from staying at Newstead Belmont Hills for our next trip, however. The people are so gracious and helpful wherever we went, which made up for boisterous neighbors.
This is our second visit to Newstead and we were not disappointed. This time our apartment was on the second floor and was just as good as the bungalow we stayed in previously. The staff are friendly and helpful, right from the moment we are collected from the Airport. The courtesy shuttle launch that takes you to Hamilton is always clean and on time. There is also a courtesy shuttle mini bus that takes you to Elbow Beach. We can highly recommend this resort and also Bermuda as the perfect holiday destination.

We stayed in a suite and had a kitchen where we cooked our own meals. Perfect especially for gluten free travellers! You have your own yard area to sit out and look over the water across to Hamilton. Great spot close to a grocery store and the staff are so helpful!

If you are looking for a hotel in Bermuda and do not need to be on a beach, this is your spot. People are very friendly and helpful, rooms are large and clean, beds are to die for comfortable and access to a boat launch to go to Hamilton is right there. Only thing you don't have is walking (no sidewalks) or beaches.

I just returned from a 3 night anniversary getaway with my wife and I couldn't be more pleased. From the helpful and friendly desk staff, to the spotless rooms with million dollar views, the Newstead Belmont Hills was the perfect retreat for couples and families alike. With easy access to the city of Hamilton, and a free shuttle to the beautiful beach at the Coral Reef, the location of this hotel is perfect. We stayed in studio suite 421 and were blessed with a comfortable King Bed, a tremendous bathroom equipped with an oversized tub, as well as a modern kitchen with brand new appliances which came in handy for mixing afternoon and evening cocktails. The heated infinity pool area with an attached jacuzzi was spotless and quite comfortable, and the free water taxi to Hamilton was quite helpful. I read some complaints in other reviews about infrequent departures, but that's not an issue since the very inexpensive public ferry runs with regularity with a stop right on premises, and the public bus stop is also a short walk away. The more formal Beau Rivage and casual Sanzibar Burger/Tapas restaurants share a common kitchen run by acclaimed chef Jean Claude, and the food is AMAZING. Someday I really hope to make it back to this very fine resort.
