Newstead Belmont Hills in Paget, Bermuda
When Newstead Belmont Hills opened in 2008, it was the first new resort development in Bermuda in 35 years. Modern rooms with hardwood floors and mosaic-tiled marble bathrooms enjoy views of Hamilton Harbor, where complimentary water taxis take guests to destinations across the island. Golfers won’t want to miss tee time at the Algie M. Pulley, Jr.-designed 18-hole course overlooking the Great Sound – a complimentary round is included with each stay.
Get your blood flowing with an early morning tennis match. Lounge the day away at the edge of the harborside infinity pool. Take a quick jaunt over to a pink-sand beach and scour the shore for shells. Book a corner table for dinner, feeling the Bermudan breeze bid farewell to the sun’s last rays. Feast on fresh sashimi – unangi, ebi, ikura, maguro and salmon caviar – paired with a glass of chilled chardonnay.

Reviews for Newstead Belmont Hills
We just returned from 5 nights at Newstead. We've stayed at 10 different properties over the years in Bermuda and have always wanted to try Newstead for its harbour views. We were not disappointed. We had a very attractive one bedroom suite on the 4th floor in building #7 (there are 5 floors). Pros: it's an attractively furnished condo with a good amount of space including a powder room and nice kitchen in addition to a good size master bedroom, bath and living room. Large LCD TV in both bedroom and living room. The large lanai has views to die for, we spent hours out there. Housekeeping was very pleasant. Private ferry to Hamilton is a great perk, although it stops running at noon on Saturday and doesn't run at all on Sunday. The public ferry is right next door, but also has limited Saturday and Sunday hours. The ability to use the beautiful Coco Reef Resort's pool, beach and grounds is another wonderful perk, exclusive to Newstead guests, just 5 minutes away. Included in the cost (as long as you book directly with them) is a free taxi to and from the airport which normally costs $50 or $60 each way. Cons: the lanai side walls don't go up to the ceiling, so you can hear your neighbors' conversations. No vent fans in either bathroom and clothes closets are in the master bathroom (a pet peeve of ours). We mainly went to Hamilton for meals. We had breakfast at Beau Rivage once and it was not very good, bacon almost raw and sausage tasted terrible (not pork). English muffins were warmed, not toasted, and one tiny piece of ham on eggs benedict. Bouchee in Hamilton has fantastic breakfasts. One dinner at Beau Rivage was okay but quite expensive. We preferred eating dinner in Hamilton. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The weather in September was still good and the water temps with 83 Ā°F pleasant. The pool is at the same temp. Hotel: Top Floor definitly have the best few. Room cleanliness could be improved. The friendliness of the staff was good.

What more do you need, just wake up to a perfect view across the azzure blue water to Hamilton and appreciate that you have chosen the perfect location for your holiday. Link that with the opportunity of playing golf at Belmont Hills, with the friendliest of locals and impossible to think how your precious time could be improved.

We stayed at Newstead Belmont Hills in late August. The 1 BR suite was very spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The balcony is very wide with beautiful views of Hamilton and the harbor. This all doesn't come cheaply. The front desk is helpful, but allow extra time as you may have to wait to get attention. The evening ferry to Hamilton is delightful. We took the 6:20 and stopped for a drink at one place and then dinner somewhere else. We returned on the 9 pm. It was so pleasant. The shuttle to the beach and the hotel at the beach is very nice, but again, have patience and allow alot of extra time...bring your patience! The restaurants are good, the one at the golf club is just OK. Infinity pool is beautiful.

All of the guests had a wonderful stay at Newstead. We were a big group and the planning phase took a while. But everyone at the front desk made it easy. Once we arrived in Bermuda the complimentary shuttles were all set to pick us up and bring us to the hotel. The water ferry and land ferry made it easy to get around.
