Reviews for Hotel Principe di Villafranca

Would not recommend

The pictures of the rooms on the website look a lot better than in real life. Did not like this hotel. It was more like a 3 star hotel. The staff was not friendly and once you ask for something started speaking in Italian about you. I felt really uncomfortable. We were told to select time for breakfast each day of our stay and each day there were not to many people so that was very strange request on the behalf of the hotel. Would not recommend staying in this hotel.

Hotel in a Residential Neighborhood

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

We recently spent four nights at the Hotel Principe di Villafranca while visiting Palermo. The hotel is 3/10 of a mile from the Lolli train station, which is very convenient when arriving from the airport. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The staff did their best to keep things well stocked. If you are looking for any restaurants or stores, you will have to walk several blocks. Not a complaint, just an observation. The hotel is located in a safe, residential neighborhood.

Great location, walking distance to all points of interest. Very nice decor, well designed. Good size rooms and the most helpful staff to solve any needs with ease. The elvator...well is old simple technology, you will laugh. Highly recommendable.

Short stay in Palermo

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 months ago

Stayed here for three days while visiting Sicilly. Our room was large, clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a safe in our room. The toiletries were good. Enjoyed the art on the walls. Breakfast was organised in half hour time slots so there was no crowding , and the food was good. It would have been good if the reception had more information for holiday travellers. Reception staff did give information when asked, some reception staff more helpful than others

One night stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed April 23, 2023

We were greeted at reception warmly. We arrived early and the staff were happy for us to leave our suitcases behind reception while we explored the city. Later we checked into our rooms which were sparse but adequate and clean. Some of our friends in our party had a kettle & sachets of tea/coffee, but we didn’t in our room. Reception organised our Taxis for us the following morning which was organised very well. Breakfast was quite nice.
