Reviews for Hotel Plaza Opéra

A good hotel and reasonably well located - with good service.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

This is a good hotel. Our room had everything we expected - hanging space and drawers; decent shower; a kettle with tea & coffee; aircon; and a TV (though challenging to get anything in English). There's a nice seating area on the ground floor and a rooftop area too. Breakfast was good - not fantastic but enough to choose from. All the staff were helpful, but the star of our visit was the concierge, Sylvia. She gave us really good restaurant recommendations and booked them for us; she booked our taxis; advised on sights and travel; and all with great charm and humour. Nothing was too much trouble. Ten stars for Sylvia!

Great place to stay in Palermo

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Stayed here twice at the beginning and end of a two week tour. Very pleasant stay both times. Staff are friendly, helpful (booked a restaurant for 9 of us) and efficient. Breakfast on the rooftop is a highlight. Rooms are good, clean and well equipped. Very well located as a base for sightseeing with the Opera 6/7 minutes walk away and many good restaurants even closer. Recommended. Will certainly stay again on our next trip.

Rooftop excellence

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The hotel is well situated for walking and sightseeing. The rooftop bar is wonderful and the staff are very attentive. I dined here and the food was great well priced and delicious. The rooms are compact but well appointed for a comfortable stay. All the staff made a great effort to ensure I had a great experience

Not a 4 Star. Not even close.

This Hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel. Maybe a 2.5. Room was so small. Not very clean. The walls had scuff marks all over them. The desk was very chipped up. So disappointing.

Sub-par experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, but the hotel room smelled bad, had no air circulation, had semi-clean sheets, and left us both with itchy red marks on our legs and torso.
