Beautiful beach, pools, historic building on Palm Beach island. Impressed with the combination of great service and relaxation. We both visit and stay over when we can but it always feels like a getaway. My favorite thing to do here at the moment is to swim in the guarded area of the beach and then go for a walk near the rocks in front of the hotel. It is just so pleasant. HMF bar is fun with fantastic famous-and-not people watching and the Sunday brunch is one of the best in the country I am sure with you-name-it on the menu. Another thing I enjoy doing is sitting on the couches at the front of the lobby and watch the world park their cars. Few downsides if any- prices maybe but that's expected. On a rare occasion service may dip but that is with the expectation of five star always. Enjoy.

The Breakers is a gorgeous, historic building and generally well run hotel BUT very crowded and overall not up to the standard I have enjoyed at other luxury properties. ROOM: Our newly renovated, partial ocean view room was gorgeous and well appointed. FOOD: Average overall and WILDLY overpriced. The Breakers does not allow its guests the discretion to tip. A 20% GRATUITY is applied TO EVERYTHING. BEACH: Pretty crescent shaped beach but the 1970s style beach chairs are packed together just like the south of france. Takes at least 30 minutes to get a drink delivered to your beach chair and no food is served. GREAT KIDs FACILITIES and a great place to vacation with young children. SPA: is spectacular - gorgeous setting, fantastic treatments and lovely amenities Be prepared to be nickel and dimed at The Breakers. Everything is overpriced. Bike rentals are $15/hour or $60/day. You can walk down the block and rent at a cute local shop for $39/day and $10 for each additional day. Room Service had a delivery charge included on the bill. Room Service is by definition delivered. Why should I have to pay extra for delivery? When i asked the server about the charge he said 'We have to pay our property taxes somehow..' Really? CAR: Valet charged $30/day to keep our rental car on property. When we inquired about a place to self park, we were told that no spots were available. CHECKIN: We took an early flight and arrived at 11:30am so we would have the entire day to enjoy. Upon arrival the concierge said our room would be ready in about an hour. We checked at that time and they said 1 hour more... it turns out our room wasn't ready until 4pm and we wasted the entire day going back and forth to the concierge. If they had been upfront, we would have planned accordingly. HOUSEKEEPING: We came back to our room one day at 4pm, tired and sandy and hoping to shower and rest before dinner, only to find our room was not cleaned yet. When i called to inquire, I was told that the hotel has until 5pm to clean a room. That is absurd especially in a place as expensive as The Breakers.

We stayed at the Flagner floor of the Breakers (6th). You have your own personal concierge, driver, happy hour, breakfast, afternoon snacks, etc. Our room was an ocean view, very comfortable adjustable beds and Jo Malone products every where it was Awesome ! Service and property was perfect and we will definitely be back šŸ‘

Beautiful environment with a great eager crew of young lovely well schooled employees. Have been going to the Breakers for a number of years. Two dispppointmenting features. This year my stay was marked by loud awful inescapable music poolside. Sunday was particularly horrid. With blaring and thumping techno noise emanating from speakers scattered all over the grounds. Could not find a really quiet place to escape. Finally went to room Next disappointment was the cost of the meals compared to what what was served. The prices were astounding. The meals were not. For example, I had seafood linguine at the Ocean House restaurant on the property. It was over salted, the clams over cooked and served without a spoon, bowl for shells and no cheese (I know some think that is sacrilegious). Another example, I paid $224.00 for a meal for one person at Flagler Steakhouse (tab only included one split of champagne). I expected something exceptional. It was just ok certainly not $200 better than had I gone to some Italian restaurant chain. Overall, I am sad because i have made a yearly pilgrimage to the Breakers. I just did not feel it lived up to the past
