I have been going to The Chesterfield every now and then for afternoon tea for the last 10 years and it is ALWAYS a wonderful and memorable experience. This visit was especially an event for the books because it was my sisters bachelorette/pre bridal shower party. I orginally booked us to sit in the leopard lounge, but with the weather being a bit warmer than anticipated we sat outside in their darling patio area. The staff moved us without a problem and made the table gorgeous. We all ordered the champagne tea, and the entire afternoon was perfect much thanks to Paul! From the prompt service, the adorable sea of preppy pink and green tucked in the courtyard, gorgeous shell mirrors, endless laughs, delicious (and TONS) o food and tea, plus all the photos Paul snapped of us it was truly a beautiful memory for the bride and all of us! Thank you!!

This lovely hotel has an intimate feel where the very warm, friendly and accomodating staff recongnizes you. The room service was excllent, food quite good. I also ate lunch alone in the restaurant and was made to feel very at ease. The quality of the food was good, the breadth of the menu solid. The restaurant turns into a striking and popular, classy night club on weekend nights. The decor is romantic. Plenty of red upholstery and dim lighting. My "Queen Deluxe" room was smaller than I would have liked, but had all of the essentials. The linens were luxurious and the bathroom very modern and well equipped. I had a second flloor room overlooking the swimming pool. The top (3rd) floor would have been preferable, as it's an older building where you can sometimes hear people walking above. The Chesterfield is just a few blocks from the water. You can also walk in minutes to shopping and restaurants. While not waterfront, the location was very good. Keep in mind that the cost of the this hotel is a fraction of the cost to stay at the Breakers or the Four Seasons, eg. I look forward to returning to this well-run hotel again.

Small old building set in quiet residential area but close to Worth AVE. We had a good sized well appointed suite with excellent en suite. Pool area is small and does not get sun all day. We are in the main restaurant and it was ok but not exceptional. Best treat was the bar and the great music. Lou the barman was a hoot and Adam the resident pianist was top notch! A very comfortable stay in a classy old world hotel.

I usually stay in West Palm Beach but was priced out of town on this trip (thanks, Tony Robbins) and chose the Chesterfield instead. It was huge contrast to the usual corporate type places - quaint, with very friendly service that makes you feel right at home and interesting decor that is bordering on OTT. My bedroom walls for instance, which looked like they were wallpapered but turned out to be covered with fabric, featured giraffes, palm trees and monkeys. My room was tiny, with all the available floor space taken up by a queen bed, a desk, a chair and a table, but it was beautifully fitted out, with little nooks in the wall for your bedside essentials (no space for bedside tables) and a bathroom that was tiny but spotlessly clean, with a proper bathtub and a magnified and lit make up mirror. They really had thought of everything, and cleverly managed to pack it into a tiny room. I appreciated the free water and another pleasant surprise was the lack of parking charges - the valet parking guys just move your car around to comply with the local restrictions. And the location is perfect - on a quiet, residential street just minutes from Worth Avenue. The Leopard Lounge is an interesting place to eat - a little too interesting on occasions perhaps as it's also a bar and a nightclub, but the food and the service (I had breakfast, lunch and drinks there during my stay) was excellent, if pricey.

To be honest, had I known exactly what The Chesterfield was like, I probably wouldn’t have booked it - but I’m glad my assistant picked it out because I wound up really enjoying my stay here. My taste in hotel usually skews a little more modern and upscale, but this was kind of an amazing change of pace. The Chesterfield is KITSCHY AF, but in a good way. It just felt like Palm Beach, if you know what I mean? The rooms are so quirky - mine was decorated in a red plaid motif, and my colleague had white florals everywhere - but they are also very clean, spacious and comfortable. There is one tiny elevator (with a monkey mural on its doors), the courtyard out front feels almost a little motel-ish, and the lobby is WOAHHHHHHHH tacky (think glass palm tree floor lamp and a GIANT centerpiece of neon colored fake roses) ... but again, somehow it works and winds up being fun. And I mean it when I say I’m a hotel snob. The staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful. My room service breakfast was so good and beautifully presented. If you want to add a little something extra to a stay in Palm Beach ... grab a room here.
