We tried this for a staycation and it was just ok. The one thing that was most annoying is that we left a charger and they charged us $60 for 2 day shipping. Had we known it was $60 we would have just bought a new one or driven back- but after calling FedEx and finding out the charge was $25- well we were seriously turned off. Most hotels offer free shipping or discuss the fees up front. BUT that was not the gist of what could be improved. 1. Only parking available valet and it's not always the quickest. 2. Only one restaurant with very limited hours and the menu is very limited. 3. Not enough towels and it took us 12 hours to actually receive a new one after we called several times for a towel, finally at 10pm one was delivered to us. Typical Hotel rule is 2 towels per allowed occupancy in the room- but they just give you two and two washcloths. 4. Bathroom wallpaper is peeling but decorated nicely. 5. When we checked into our first room and we got back from lunch, the AC was leaking all over the floor. They didn't even apologize, they just said ok go to room # xxx. So now we're spending time to re-pack, and move. They didn't even offer to help us move our stuff. Service was horrible. 6. Rooms are not decorated as in the pictures on their website. They are very plain and bare. No art whatsoever in the rooms or throughout the hotel- makes it seem like they ran out of money during the renovations. 7. No cell service at all at the hotel and wifi is spotty at best. 8. Service overall is atrocious- don't try calling front desk- the phone rings and rings and rings. We asked for change to give the valet from front desk and they sent us on a hunt for change instead of them hunting for it themselves. We saw a restaurant manager (we think) arguing with an employee in the middle of the floor- it was so uncomfortable! Beach service closes super early. If some improvements were done maybe but they would need to train staff- it's called the hospitality industry for a reason.

The hotel itself is nice enough, and the beach and pool are enjoyable. However, there are definitely a few things that need to be pointed out here. Let me dive in: -The hotel is not particularly close to many restaurants or activities. Plan to either rent a car or spend some serious cash on Uber rides. -The one restaurant they do have on-site, Brandon's, is EXTREMELY overpriced and the food is not that great. Don't waste your time eating here. -As others have pointed out, the service here is HORRIBLE. If you are looking for recommendations on restaurants or activities, you would be better off to research things online or ask some rando walking down the street as opposed to the staff here. I asked several times for various ideas on places to go or eat, and I got a lot of blank stares. -The hotel knew that we had 4 people staying in our room and every day, they left 3 towels in the room. Every day for 5 days, we had to call the front desk to get additional towels. -Our room had a strange odor and all of our clothes consistently felt damn and also developed an odor. All of my clothes need a serious washing now that I am home. -Our neighbors left a tray out in the hall that I would have expected room service or the cleaning staff to come by and pick up. It sat in the hall for 2 days and was still there when we left. Let me tell ya - the sight of 2 day old milk sitting outside of your room is not something that you want to see while staying in a "resort". -The hotel was renovated a few years back, but there are still a few things that seemed a bit off - very dark decor, not many outlets in the rooms, very thin walls (you can hear your neighbors) etc. -The last thing I will say is that there is no cell service in the hotel. I have AT&T. I had to go out to the pool to get reception to make a phone call - really inconvenient when you need to use your phone - especially for work purposes. I have pointed out a lot of negative things, but the hotel itself is relatively nice and the surrounding area is beautiful even if there isn't a whole lot to do. If you are looking for a staff member who is helpful, ask Cory (at the bar) for recommendations or a stiff cocktail. I would consider staying here again now that I know what I am in for, but the things above did catch me off guard.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT to anyone. Save yourself the frustration, anger, and grief and stay somewhere else. Despite the hotel's attempts to compensate; staying here for our vacation leaves a bitter taste and appalled memories. Here are the reasons why: My comforter had 4 nasty stains and smelled awful, our sliding door would get stuck and unable to open, the shower head was broke, very limited cabana umbrellas and most of them are broke. Also the resort advertises a pool bar and 2 restaurants. This is not true. They only have 1 restaurant: Brandon's. It has limited items and seriously over priced not to mention it wasn't all that great. We were told that are package included a breakfast buffet. After we ate we got a bill for $85.00. They never told us that their very limited item buffet was $40.00 a plate. The drinks were over priced. Mini-refrigerators were not in the rooms and they too were limited on supply and you have to request one if you want to keep your food/drinks cold. On two occasions our room was not cleaned. When we complained we were told they were understaffed. It took over an hour to get towels so we could shower. We had to make reservations with the front desk to have our room cleaned. This is something I never heard of. The key to the room did not always work nor did the tv in the room. On our day to leave we asked the front for a wake up call. At this point it was not surprising that they never called. Despite the location being such a beautiful place...this resort dampened our whole trip.

Very nice pool with a very kind attendant, direct access to the beach and wide rooms with nice design. Great place loved by our teens ! Cheap according to location and services. Previous negative comments are dating from 1 to 2 years ago. Everything seems fine now. We will come be back.

First of all, the location is amazing and that was the only positive part of our experience. We got our room cards and went upstairs and they didn't work. I went back downstairs and got two more. They didn't work again. We then had maintenance come and said he would work on them. We waited for half an hour and then I called downstairs. We were switched to another room. The view was gorgeous, but there was so much dust on the blinds and the dresser. The glass on the outside balcony was filthy too. Not good. We went to dinner at the restaurant, and I was surprised by the menu because it didn't match the menu that I had seen online. You need to tell people the difference between the in season and off season menu. For the most part the staff were really good. However, on Saturday we went to the beach at 4:30 pm and were told that they were closing down and that there were no more towels for us. What?! There was no effort made to get more towels. Unacceptable. Also, you need to check who is using the umbrellas and beach lounge chairs because not all of those people were hotel guests. This place has potential, but there are issues that need to be addressed.
