We stayed at the Tideline for two days earlier this month. We paid for a King Oceanfront but without the balcony. Since the hotel was not full, they upgraded us to a corner balcony oceanfront room. That was delightful - especially on the top floor! We were told that the Jacuzzi in the room did not work which I accepted because I did not care. The ambiance of the hotel is nice. Mysterious, dark, elegant lighting. The room itself was decorated quite nicely with black shutters, headboard, furniture. Nice separate section for the bathroom/sink. Upon looking closer, however, you can see how badly this place needs a renovation. The furniture is cheap and could use a fresh coat of paint, the mattress was very lumpy, the entire room had a strange slick feel to the floor. I mentioned this to the front desk and the two (very nice) front clerks agreed that the new management should do an upgrade. This place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL and I honestly hope they invest in upgrading the property. The other issue I had was that it was pet friendly. I wasn't aware of this when making the reservation. I love animals but not where I sleep. The hotel was filled was dogs. Their restaurant was pricey but for the area I guess fair. Food wasn't bad. As I mentioned before - the location was spot on. Beach front and they had lots of lounge chairs and some umbrellas - could have had a few more. Furniture was beaten up but manageable. Overall, not bad but would be 5 star if upgraded.

Liked the location with wonderful views of the ocean and good for long walks on the beach. Booked an oceanfront room with balcony. Door to balcony did not open. Left note for housekeeping and was not addressed until we went down to front desk. Door was still extremely hard to open. Had to ask for hair dryer, extra towels, etc. There was nothing in the room about hotel services. Room could have been cleaner. Service at the beach was inconsistent and even after taking a drink order, they forgot about it and then it was time to leave. At check out, no one asked about our stay.

We loved this hotel so much that we stayed twice for 4 days at a time, only separating our stays due to a short Bahamas cruise. On arrival, we were greeted very warmly and felt that we were looked after the whole time. Priscilla, Johnny and Yareni were a few names to mention of amazing staff, but there were several more. We look forward to staying again!

We stayed in an ocean front room which was very nice. The room could use updates but the staff was very attentive. We were greeted with a special amenity that we were not expecting due to a special occasion my husband and I were celebrating. A special thanks to Yareni for her hospitality and customer service savy!

The stay was ok, we paid on expedia, and then we started getting billed for thousands of dollars on our credit card. We've been calling daily for a week. Initially they refunded the first over charge, but the remaining $3,000 in overcharges have not been refunded despite our threats to call the District Attorney. General Manager, Ken, will not even call us back. Check your credit card to make sure you are not getting overcharged!
