We visited the Tideline this past weekend and stayed for two nights. We last stayed here 9 months ago for my birthday and this time it was my boyfriend's birthday. We decided to reserve an Oceanfront King room this time rather than partial oceanfront, and I am so glad we did, as THAT is what made the stay memorable and wonderful. You simply cannot beat waking to the ocean waves and enjoying coffee on the balcony. We had a third floor room on the corner, which meant we had a wraparound balcony and thus two sliders to open for a cross breeze, which was absolutely awesome. Just note however we were bitten up the first night by bugs, which must have been because we were sleeping with both doors open to take full advantage of the ocean sound and breeze, which was a powerful breeze. We did, however, shut the doors the following night and just had the a/c. Otherwise we would have been using calamine lotion! Having said all that about the wonderful view and breeze of the ocean, I now have to say why we could not give this place an " excellent" rating on this occasion. That is because of the peculiar bathroom, which was the strangest I have ever seen. Firstly the bathroom was not luxurious or typical of Palm Beach standards. On our previous visit, we had a partial oceanfront room ( limited view) and had a shower only ( very small with a slipper door) and then the toilet separately across from that shower in its own cubicle with a telephone. This time we had a separate toilet same as before telephone included, but the shower was in the tub, which was very high ( rather like a Japanese styled soaking tub) and very slippery and hard to get in and out of. We are both in very good shape and even I thought it was rather strenuous. The drain plug/stopper was not working, so after the shower we had to lean all the way into the tub to slightly lift up the plug and it took ages to drain. I did try the tub because I saw a panel called Ultra Bain and assumed that was a spa feature of the tub, but it did not work. ( I enquired at the desk but was told that if we were requesting another room there was no other oceanfront room available and would, therefore, have to be downgraded, so we said no because we wanted the gorgeous ocean view. The oddest thing about the bathroom was the big clear window so that we could see each other from the other side of the room, which is obviously not a big problem for couples, as it is a King room, but it was very strange... Not a wall but a big glass window into the bedroom. The hardware and finishing around the tub frame was not nice and the sink plug was scratchy. The toilet tank lid did not even fit onto the tank, but rather ' rested' upon the tank. The charge for this stay was the " Florida Resident Rate," which in our honest opinion should not have been more than $300 per night due to the inferior bathroom and not even a full-length mirror in the room. The only mirror was the bathroom mirror over the sink. The pool was infinity and serene. The loungers are plentiful and there are double loungers and day beds. The hot tub soaking spa was warm and relaxing. The beers are only $6 per can, which is very reasonable for Palm Beach pricing. The staff are all friendly if a little slow with requests. There is no ice machine or dispenser to keep drinks cold ( if you want to bring a cooler or cold bag) so that you can play golf ( as we do) or go out exploring on bikes (complimentary) for the day. We had to request a bucket of ice, which took over 40 minutes to be brought to the room. There are a few other oceanfront hotels, but they are about $100 more per night ( plus you pay the local and State tax) and of course valet is not free even for overnight guests at the Tideline. Cost is $27.99 plus tax per night. All in all a good place to go for a fun oceanfront visit with the private beach and pool. I cannot say how the spa is as there were no prices on the spa brochure left in our room, so I did not bother to enquire. There are other hotels I would probably recommend instead if you do not need the beach access and privacy, as Palm Beach public beach is gorgeous and parking reasonable. Lake Worth beach is very close but way too crowded and parking is $2.00 per hour with maximum of 6 hours, so I would recommend the Palm Beach public beach instead. It is across from Charley's Crab and beautiful. This is a boutique hotel with friendly staff and a gorgeous private beach. It is worth a trip if only once.

My girlfriend and I went here for a weekend getaway to relax and it lived up to all expectations. The outdoor restaurant is perfect for having breakfast or dinner while looking out at the ocean. The pool was quiet and the bartender there was great. Our flight was canceled and they let us stay in our room longer until our next flight. Overall great experience and recommend.

Excellent hotel if you just want to be at the beach. Great beach chairs and service staff right outside your room. The water is crystal blue and great restaurant at the hotel and other great food choices in walking distance. Highly recommend.

Our grown children are tired of hearing how much we enjoyed our stay! Best sushi ever - eel right off the boat! Beautiful beaches, complete with folks happy to set up a chair and umbrella for you?! Beach side dining/drinking - oh so good!

We stayed at the Tideline for our granddaughters wedding last week-end. If I were to rate the Tideline on Wedding Venue, food and service for the event, they would have earned 5 stars. But my rating is our experience for hotel stay. We had our reservations for an ocean front or ocean view room with a balcony. When we arrived we were given a non ocean view room with a balcony, I refused the room. We waited in the reception area for at least 45 minutes when Michelle from sales approached us. Snd said they had a full house and the only rooms available were the room we received or an ocean front room with no balcony. I asked to see that room and indeed it did have a balcony so we took the room. About an hour later, my daughters friend came to our room and asked my daughter to call her event planner to see if she could have a room like ours? Wala a room like ours was granted without hesitation. Remember when Michelle said they had a full house and only two room left? While we settled in we realized the rooms had no iron, coffee pot or Ice bucket, you need to ask for everything. Once an ironing board and iron were delivered, I tried to plug the iron in the socket and WOW, sparks everywhere and all electricity went off in the room. They sent a maintenance man to the room and that poor man was almost electrocuted right in front of me. I told him they need to send an electrician to the room. The room was totally out of commission for the next four hours. One would think the hotel would have us go to lunch on them while they fixed the problem. No, they offered no compensation what so ever for inconveniencing us. This could be a beautiful hotel but it is dark, old, with extremely dirty windows. I asked for the general manager, I was told her name is Christian. It seems Christian is never there. This incident happened early Friday afternoon and she was gone. Christian was also off the entire week-end so we never had the opportunity to speak to Christine. Our plan was to stay until Monday but because of this unpleasant experience with this hotel we checked out Sunday Morning.
