This used to be a great place, we have stayed a minimum of 7-10 since it was the Omphoy, then the Tideline (Kipton) They now have another new owner who is sadly letting the place go & cutting back. Our 5th floor suite was quite a hike as both elevators were out of order for over two days. Many of the ocean side umbrellas are broken & unusable, some of the chaise lounge cots are ripped and should be replaced. No pool towels on various occasions. No morning manager (seriously!) foyer coffee is removed at 10:00am, no oranges or fruit or orange juice (former owner always provided) The once beautifully lit pool area now has almost all the lights burnt out, palm trees with only a few lights working on an entire string, the waterfall is in darkness (all bulbs burnt out) the Tideline sign at the road is only lit on one side. Our shower head leaked more water out the side than the nozzle, bathroom vanity light flickered like a strobe light. A brutal salt-pepper haired older male "manager" giving condescending orders to the staff in front of customers, unreal! Conversations with other customers revealed their displeasure. After many years of enjoying this hotel we will not be back.

Used to love this hotel when it was a Kimpton. Sadly it's gone downhill in a big way now it's not part of the brand. Staff seems to be completely out of their element and unwilling to help with even the smallest matters. Not sure if it's because they're overworked or just don't care but it's definitely not 4 or 5 star service, more like 2 stars.

I booked this hotel for my 17 year old son who lives in Miami so he could go to a concert with out of town friends and stay in the same place with them. Note that these friends were accompanied by their parents so it was not some party situation. However the main reason I booked this place was that I did not want him driving back to Miami late at night the Sunday before Labor Day. I was traveling so unable to accompany him but have had no problem with my kids checking into hotels before when they went to Orlando. So when he arrives he was told he had to be 25 years to check in and they turned him away. THERE IS NO FLORIDA STATUTE THAT SAYS YOU HAVE TO BE OVER 18 TO CHECK INTO A HOTEL. There was no age restriction on the booking site I used. Just so you know some hotels have POLICIES restricting age but these are NOT BOUND BY LEGAL RESTRICTIONS. In fact when the Tideline refused to check him in after I explained the situation they also said they could not promise a refund. I asked to speak to a manager and I told him that there is no legal restriction but that it was a policy they could adjust for in this situation. He said he would call me back and did not. Meanwhile needing a last minute place for my son to stay we called the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Palm Beach. Although they also have an 18 year old restriction Christine immediately understood the situation and faxed over a credit card authorization form so my son was able to check in. As I said these are policies that can be bent. Thirty minutes later I received a call from the Tidelines saying they were returning my call. I told them I had been waiting for the manager to return my call (it was not the manager) but had been forced to look for additional accommodations given the time and that they had not been helpful. The person on the other end said "I don't know who around us will check in a minor." And I reported to her that again these are policies not regulations and that the Fairfield next door was able to accommodate us. THERE WAS NO REASON THE TIDELINE COULD NOT HAVE DONE THE SAME. Instead they would rather my son drive back late at night putting his life at risk. Now I get to wait for them to call me on Tuesday so see if I get a refund!

Absolutely gorgeous! My sister and I got the summer package which included access to the spa amenities and a 50-mins massage. Gio was AMAZING! Best massage I've ever received! His massage was like art!

Before we were even in the door, we were surprised with the fact that the "provided" valet parking at $27/day was mandatory and not an optional service. So, when booking this hotel, be sure to include that in your price. This was very frustrating as available parking in their lot was only a few yards away from the door. Quite frankly, it set the tone right away that we had to be prepared and vigilant about the prices inside. When we checked in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was supposed to be a partial ocean view which it was as when I leaned over the balcony I could catch a small glimpse of the ocean through the trees. That really didn't bother me a whole lot as I didn't expect to spend a lot of time on the outside balcony. But a reach on the description of the room at best. The room itself had pluses and minuses. The wood trim in the room was dark and definitely made the room dark. One of our pet peeves in some hotels. We were very surprised there was no coffee maker in the room. The refrigerator was clearly an afterthought as it just sat in the room free standing and not worked into the decor at all. Space on the bathroom counter was small as my dob kit barely fit on the side of the sink. The only towel rack was in the separate room with the commode and at least 8 ft. away from the shower. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning very good, and the water pressure in the shower just fine. We are always surprised when we go to a hotel and there is only one luggage stand in the closet. The Tideline was no exception. I would think that most rooms have at least two people checked in. Two luggage stands would be appropriate for a four star hotel. Access to the beach and the beach itself was great. The ability to take a nice long shoreline walk was excellent. While we were there, the elevators broke down and obviously their service / contracted maintenance company was slow to respond. It was out from Sunday morning until we left on Monday. While responses from the hotel in other reviews say there were offers to help with luggage, we never saw or heard that offer and had to carry our luggage down the stairs ourselves. That was fine and I wouldn't mention it were it not for the response saying that service was offered. We did ask and were granted a reduction in our costs for the inconvenience which was nice even though we had to ask for it. We did use the fitness center which was small but adequate. My wife, who travels extensively, was surprised there were no available earbuds in the fitness center when she forgot hers (in our room). She did say that most hotels where she stays always have some cheap earbuds in the fitness center so that people without headsets can listen to the TVs while on the machines. We used the spa and had great massages. That was a nice experience. The problems we encountered were not enough to deter us from staying there again although we would probably try other places in the area first as there are quite a few choices. The negatives I mention are mostly just observations of things that can be improved and not real complaints. However, with a four star facility, you don't expect to notice obvious inconveniences like the lack of space in a bathroom, no coffee maker, or only one luggage stand. However, add in the $27/day mandatory valet parking and the hotel rate is not as attractive as you are led to believe. That is definitely something you don't expect to encounter at a top shelf hotel. It felt a little shady.
