At your own peril. This place is a complete rip off and a joke

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

This stay was off the charts horrible. The service here is beyond a joke. From the get go, the air conditioning in the room was broken. Someone came up to fix it but the unit rattled all night long. Clearly the “engineer” didn’t have a clue. Room service is horrendous. The restaurant never answers the phone. Repeatedly went to voice mail. There is a QR code that you can scan except the code is corrupted. I kept being brought to a website that said it wasn’t secure and was trying to steal my information. I called the front desk and they sent up an incompetent person who brought up another QR code and that didn’t work either. He told me the restaurant would call me. Of course no one called. I called the front desk again and I asked for a menu to be delivered. The first person I spoke with said , “Oh, we don’t do that.” The second person I spoke with told me that even when they call the restaurant no one answers. I asked again if someone could please bring me a menu. I called the restaurant —Honeybelle_-and no one picked up the phone. It repeatedly went to voice mail. 30 minutes later i still can’t access a menu. Someone else at the desk told me to come down to the restaurant to place my order. I was incredulous. 24 hour room service where you can’t access a menu, the restaurant won’t answer the phone and the guest is told to come downstairs to order. Total lack of service. From the front desk to the restaurant. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told that a manager won’t be in until 6PM. This hotel is at full occupancy and there is no manager ????? Additionally upon check in I asked when the health club is open on the weekends. The two women at the desk said they really didn’t know. I waited to see if one of them would perhaps call the health club or look on their own damn website. Nothing. One woman looked annoyed by my question and i asked the other woman if she might call over there. She did. But there was such a lack of service on something so basic. As for the room— it was ok. Bed comfortable. The bathroom smelled like sewage. It was disgusting throughout the stay. I didn’t even bother telling anyone about it because nothing would be done. And the coffee bar downstairs—some nice people working there except for one young kid who was working on a Sunday morning at around 7:15AM. I greeted him warmly and politely asked for coffee. He never spoke a word to me. It is absolute amateur hour at this hotel. A terrible experience throughout and i fully expect to get a canned response from whoever sees this review. Avoid this place at all costs and of course the resort fee which is a gouge in every single way. It’s not even worthy of the two stars i gave it.

I only went here for a 3 day convention and was booked in another hotel. The food was good here especially the different kinds of ceviches. The venue was also huge and picturesque. Although the location is good, it seemed quite far from other places like banks, churches and shops. One has to either drive or take an Uber to be able to go to these places. I will stay here on my next visit to be able to write more.

Pool area needs a major overhaul

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We’ve been going to PGA resort for quite a few years using the pool area mainly.. the birds are flying right near your head because people leave food out in the open and it’s disgusting and so unsanitary.. I needed five chairs and all of them had bird crap on them. I asked the boy in the front where the towels are if he could possibly clean them and he did right away… a few minutes later I see a duck land in the pool… the bar area and the bathrooms smell like someone threw up.. this has been going on for quite a while as I visit every few months but I think I’m done with the PGA resort..

Apathetic, underwhelming, no one cares

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Spent 6 figures on a Wedding and many rooms at PGA National. From the planning, to the valet parking at arrival, to the incorrect and unaccountable billing at the end, it was a frustrating and shoddy experience. Most employees could care less about guest satisfaction. One of our guests went back Monday to tell the GM of all deficiencies. I'm can't get full credit for overcharges after a marathon attempt. Sorry I did not read these reviews before booking. The service at Butcher's Club restaurant was impressive, I assume they have other ownership.

Relaxing Stay at PGA National Hotel

Everyone who. worked at the hotel was helpful and friendly, especially Nick at the front desk. We arrived on the late side on a Saturday night and he was most accommodating which we really appreciated after a. long day traveling. Our room was lovely too.
