This is a massive, beautifully maintained property. I would give 4 and a half stars if I had not found out this is basically a huge Air bnb so It's a toss up what your room will look like. We booked a premium oceanfront with "garden tub." After 8 hours driving we arrived exhausted and were pointed toward our room. It was a long walk. The room prices here are very reasonable so maybe that should have tipped us off. While the room did have an ocean view it looked over a large parking lot and the room itself was nothing like the quality of the public areas and had no tub. It was very, very basic. We called and they insisted there had to be a tub in the room (there wasn't) and finally decided to move us to a BEAUTIFUL room overlooking the over the top nice pool area. The furnishings were mahogany and the art work was very, very nice. It even had a little stove. I thought the first room was a mistake but was told by the front desk that each room is decorated by the owner and you get what you get. We were scoping it out for future family reunions/golf outings and that killed it for us. What room they assign to you makes a huge difference. But beyond that, why were we assigned a room over the parking lot when a room was available with a much better view in the same category we booked? We did go to the Italian restaurant and the Atlantic restaurant. The service everywhere was prompt and everyone was pleasant. But the lack of uniformity makes this too iffy a place to return to.

Fabulous resort and the nicest staff. I was there for business meetings and the buffet style food was top notch! Breakfast, lunch, snacks and cocktail hour were all lovely.

The location is very nice. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. Haydee P.'s room service was excellent. The resort has numerous amenities and food and drink options.

This was not a positive experience. We checked in, went to our room, and it was very dirty. There were spills in the refrigerator, food on the chairs, and the bathtub was dirty. I went to the front desk and talked to Monica, who said “Maybe they’ll make up for it tomorrow.” She did not offer for our room to be cleaned, did not offer to switch our room, and didn't even take notes so I had to prompt her to do that. I said, "Do you want to go ahead and make a note of my room number and name so if they 'make up for it' tomorrow, they know what room they didn't clean?" She finally claimed to have written it down, but it seemed low priority for her when she wasn't helping a single other guest. I cannot imagine asking a guest to spend $500+ to sleep in a dirty room, but here we are. The room type: I booked an "oceanview 1 bedroom suite" and this felt like a huge bait and switch. Our view was of the parking lot, with the ocean very far away. There is no separate bedroom, which you can't tell online - it's all one open room so for anyone hoping for privacy, that doesn't exist. Very disappointed in the room and description. I asked if they had a room that was clean and possibly an actual ocean view and not parking lot view but, of course, they said "We're completely booked" with no apology for the room not being cleaned or the view of the parking lot. The fitness center is nice with a lot of equipment, but the man working in the gym on Sunday complained loudly about guests and said he's "sick and tired" of guests leaving weights around that he has to come pick up in the mornings. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The TV in the main sleeping area (note: Not a "bedroom," as advertised, as it's in the same room as the pullout couch) was smaller than my computer monitor and needs updated. We dined at Atlantic Grill and while the food was fine, the service was terrible. Almost no one else was at the restaurant and it took 30 minutes to get water, and over an hour to get our food. The server forgot to bring a cocktail menu until we already had our food and, by that point, we just wanted to leave. Extremely slow service. I asked for ketchup with fries and the woman who brought the fries said "Oh, your server will do that" rather than doing it herself and by the time we saw him again, too much time passed for it to be relevant. I wish this had gone better. I also had $100 in resort credit they would not let me apply to the bill and stopped responding when I asked them to. I've tried calling to reach a manager twice and get the front desk, who then disconnects me.

Hammock Beach Resort was beautiful our room had a great view first night was great. Our second night we had TWO cockroaches and they were huge. When we reported the event we were treated like it was not a big deal that we were told "that they are everywhere since we live in FL"
