Some good , some not . Check in was way too long . Restaurants were excellent and service was great in all . Staff was very friendly and hospitable. Front desk not so much . Room was tired , needed paint and some updating .

We stayed here and went to see The Night of Lights in St. Augustine which was about a 30 minute drive. We stayed in The Lodge Ocean view King room was nice and the views are spectacular. Definitely recommend staying here, didn't have enough time to play golf but the courses are well kept.

A common theme in the negative reviews were moldy and musty smells. We were in a 2 bedroom Villa in building 5 and it was awful.

We requested and were assigned Ocean View room. It was very nice. Room was dated but clean. Furniture was comfortable. Our king size bed was comfortable and allowed restful sleep. TV was tricky to turn on. There was a mini fridge but no freezer. Because of meds, we needed a freezer. Breakfast at the Atlantic Grille was great. The kids enjoyed the pools. The regular slide was closed due to construction. But there was a water slide house, an obstacle course and a bounce house adjacent to the pools. It was nice to see the kids have that safe, free reign. All staff were friendly and receptive. The few minor issues were promptly addressed.

We love, love, love both the golf courses at Hammock Beach. Honestly, it's the only reason we visit. If it weren't for the golf my rating would be a 1. Why? Let me count the reasons: 1. We booked a room at the Lodge and were looking forward to having a view over the ocean and the golf course. While driving to the resort we received a call and were informed that our room at the Lodge was "uninhabitable " and so we were moved to the main tower. No further compensation or accommodation was offered. The room we were given instead had a musty odor and the view was unimpressive. 2. On the day we arrived I ordered 1 beer and 1 cocktail from the Ocean course bar. The total cost? $43. On Thursday I ordered 1 cocktail at the Conservatory course bar. The cost? $27. We've had the privilege of visiting some of the world's finest resorts -- Pinehurst, Kiawah Island, Bandon Dunes, Streamsong -- none charge these kind of exorbitant prices. 3. There's no nice way to say this. The entire resort is just "tired." Everything feels a bit dated and rough around the edges. Given the cost, we expect better. We will almost certainly return to Palm Coast and enjoy the courses at Hammock Beach. But until the property gets a refresh we'll stay, dine and drink elsewhere.
