Me, my husband, and 9 year old daughter have been coming to Hammock Beach for 6 years now. We stayed in one of the new updated rooms in the Main Tower. The room was very nice and you could tell it was recently redone. One comment would be how uncomfortable to sofa is to sit on! We would come back in afternoon for lunch and to color :) and would sit on the couch and talk about how uncomfortable it is LOL! But like i said to my husband, we should not be sitting on couch, we should be out on beach :) Now on to outside, what a disappointment!! I understand there was damage from the storms last year, but the amount of MOLD around the pool areas and on the buildings!! GROSS. Also the Lazy River was not working! You could use it but the stream that floats you along was not working. We have been coming here for years, and the last 2 years now there have been issues with the jets and dirtiness! Get it fixed!!! Unacceptable, it is gross, clumps of hair, food, and i dont even want to know what else. You can see the staff working to clean it throughout day, but the JETS need to be FIXED! Now let's talk about the mold around the tower near the slide! A little pressure wash would do the trick! Not happy to see moldy walkways either, broken roof tiles, blue tarps on roof, broken tiles in elevators! Not the quality we come to expect when going to a Salamander resort. The beach is awesome!!! they have great beach chairs and umbrellas available! Food has always been an issue for us. Pool food restaurant, not many options on menu. Would be nice to have more Pub style food, not only at pool but a side down pub. We ate at Loggerheads one night, got the wings and quesadilla and they were great. The next day due to not many options, we tried to eat there again, but were told it was closed for private function for "members only". There was not a person in there!! You couldn't let us eat?!?! it was 530....there were no other options that we could eat so we ordered the wings from room service :) they were good, but wanted to get out of the room and be able to have a beer and dinner out.... My daughter loves the snow cones outside the pool area :) Disappointed in the overall condition of the resort . (besides the remodeled rooms and lobby)

Have been coming to Hammock Beach for four years now. Previously, for five years we took the family to Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor (another Salamander property). Upon checking in we were given our room information ( not the one I requested but suppose to fit our family needs) once at the room I was upset because this room (although it could accommodate all of us) was not in the best shape! I immediately called down and told them that the room was not up to the Salamander standards that we were used to. After 10 minutes we were relocated to a beautiful room! Exactly what we we were used to! Grandkids disappointed that the Lazy River was not working! You could use it but the stream that floats you along was not working. We were there for a week and it was never fixed! Now let's talk about the mold around the tower near the slide! A little pressure wash would do the trick! Not happy to see moldy walkways either, broken roof tiles, blue tarps on roof, broken tiles in elevators! Again not the quality we come to expect when going to a Salamander resort. Could do better on the kids crafts and pool side entertainment ! Disappointed in the overall condition of the resort .

We recently stayed here with our family...three children in their 20's. We had a three bedroom, three bath suite in the main tower. The suite was a great size...plenty of space for five adults. It came equipped with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. Although we did not use them it was a great thing to have available. Our housekeeping staff, Jaime, was terrific. If I left a note asking for something, it was there upon our return. The pool and beach are very nice. We never had a problem finding a space. We ate at Delfino's and The Ocean Bar...both were very good! My only request would be to change the bedding and curtain colors. Our room had dark furniture and then on top were dark brown outdated comforters...even the sheets were a tan color, not white! This made the entire suite very dark, even with all the curtains opened. We all found it very unwelcoming. It almost made things seem dirty. Overall we had a nice time. We'd visit again but will wait for some room renovations/remodeling first.

We found the resort to be exceptionally well-maintained, and the staff to be very attentive. During our stay we enjoyed a round of golf at a gorgeous course, the pool area, the beach area, and the two restaurants that are open. All exceeded our expectations as the staff is super friendly and everything about the resort is prestine. We even got to know the waitress Peggy at the Italian place. She is awesome and was so much fun. The beach was beautiful and very spacious so the guests have plenty of room to do whatever they wish. Noteworthy to this review is the fact that we were not completely satisfied with our initial room and management stepped up and made it right. We feel they genuinely cared to make us happy. Also noteworthy is that the lodge is still being renovated so it may not be the best place to stay because of work being done. Additionally the restaurant at the lodge is closed. Also closed is the nicer of the two golf courses. The one that's on the ocean. With all that said, we still enjoyed the resort and feel it was worth coming to. When they reopen the golf course and the additional restaurant it will be an amazing place to visit.

The property is very clean and the staff is fantastic. On Fathers day we relaxed in the pool and enjoyed lunch. Dinner was at the sushi place on property and it was excellent. We had a great time and cannot wait to go again
