Tennis clinics

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

Went for the tennis clinics every morning we could! Jim is so knowledgeable and has a fantastic way of teaching! He really changes the way we think about tennis. We go back every chance we get. My 8 year old took a private lesson with Jim and cannot wait to go back too.

Wonderful resort, great location, thanks Nick S!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We have stayed here three times before and just loved it. However, this time, our trip was made so special by Nick S. at the front desk! He was so welcoming and kind. And even provided us an unexpected anniversary present of strawberry dipped chocolates and a hand-written note. Above and beyond. Thank you! We love the resort and all of its amenities. And the location is perfect for our needs.

Not what it used to be

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We have stayed here a few times but quality and service has significantly deteriorated such that our present stay will be our last. While facilities may be 5 star, the staff is not. We signed up the kids for bracelet making. We asked a few staff members where it was, all said don’t know, not don’t know but i will find out. When we went to bracelet making, there was no staff there, someone stopped by eventually and cut the bracelet for the kids and then left for the hour so we paid to basically help our kids make bracelets. The resort was supersaturated , understood for memorial day . so trying to get pool seats next to impossible, which shouldn’t be the case at this caliber Resort. Starbucks in the resort had a 45 minute line so we had to leave the resort just for coffee. You have to request ahead to have your clean roomed even though Covid over. We called a day in advance and it’s already 5 pm and still the room isn’t cleaned and staff is too apathetic to offer any assistance. Clearly, not a five star experience, plenty of other options in Palm Springs so that we won’t be coming back.

Not JW standards - dissatisfied Bonvoy member

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Overall, our experience has not been representative of what should be expected at a JW property. As a Bonvoy Platinum Elite who travels a ton for work, I stay at a lot of Marriott properties, and this one missed the mark on a lot of fronts. Overall breakdown: Pros: -Pool/golf course room on the upper floor was great! Clean, modern, and large with a beautiful balcony for end of day cocktails. -Beautiful atrium lobby area and lounge with live music on the weekends. Cons: -Pool situation: absolute DISASTER. They have rules posted all over the pool areas that are inconsistently enforced. Filthy chairs and tables. People are allowed to bring rafts and pool toys, and it looks like a sloppy frat party on a busy day. Halfway through our trip, we discovered an adult only “tranquility” pool elsewhere on the property, which was slightly better but there was nothing relaxing about it. Drink and food service was disastrous at the adult only pool. Drunk adults blaring music from their boom boxes even though there are signs everywhere stating you can play your own music. AKA THERE IS NO WHERE to relax and enjoy top notch service anywhere near a body of water at this property. -Unresponsive front desk. More than once we called down to the front desk for various requests, and none of our calls were answered. Impossible to get a front desk agent on the phone. -Breakfast was so disappointing. We were able to go into the “Platinum and Ambassador” lounge in the morning and the food was awful. 2 star, holiday inn quality food. Empty donut walls. Empty hot plates. Come on, folks. I could go on, but hopefully I’ve made my point. Management, you really need to get it together. I spoke to over a dozen Bonvoy members over the weekend who all spoke openly about their disappointment of the JW standards not showing up at this property. This page is also littered with similar complaints. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE THINGS.

How this can be luxury collection hotel?? It is very, very far from that!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is definitely the worst JW Marriott hotel I have ever been at. It is not luxury hotel for sure, not even 5*. The surrounding of the hotel is really very nice and even the rooms are pretty nice but everything else is horrible! Chek in procedure was disaster, only 1 uncompetent person at the reception for the whole hotel which has 800 rooms. No bellboy to help us with the car and our luggage. Check in procedure lasts 45 long minutes because the receptionist did not know what he needs to do. Additionally, all other days when we had any questions or requests for the reception, they were always very unhelpfull and rude. Breakfast food selection like in 2*hotels, food quality the lowest it can be. Every day they charge breakfast different price without any explanation. One day when we came to the restaurant for breakfast, they sent us back to our rooms and told us that they do not have available tables and that they will SMS us in about 45 minutes when we could come back. Unbeliveble! We stayed there for one week and in that time, 3 days they did not clean our room. Quality of cleaning was also questionable. The pool was too crowded and not clean, specially sun loungers. No waiter at the pool. At the end, they charged our credit card before our check out, without any consultation with us if we agree with the invoice, how we would like to pay… Also, we are Bonvoy Titanium member, we did not get either one benefit. For this hotel, Bonvoy membership is not important. Overall, I think the management of this hotel needs to change lots of things there to become luxury collection hotel as they promote themselves. (And please, do not write in your answer that you are very sorry and that you will talk with your team about this… - you already have all this information but you did not react on it at all.)
