Reviews for Innisbrook, a Salamander Golf & Spa Resort
Hi Came here for a wedding and while I really enjoyed the wedding venue I can't say the same for our room. No fridge, no breakfast, the didn't even have regular black tea on hand. I have to say basic hotels have a fridge and microwave. Also everything is a drive away (guest reception, fitness centre, spa etc.) and the two things that realllyyy kinda pissed me off was 1) the fact that when you book you are instantly charged one night stay and if you cancel yes they refund you but if your a Canadian using visa you don't receive your full payment back as the return usd to cad rate is less (I had changed my mind twice lol) and 2) they put a hold on my credit card of $1090 dollars!!!!! Are you kidding me? That restricted my credit card usage the rest of my trip, that is ridiculous!!!! Overall mediocre stay, will not stay here again better of staying at the holiday inn where the other part of the wedding was

I enjoyed staying in a 1-bedroom condo for a week during a professional conference. Condo buildings are two stories, no elevators. Most condo buildings are NOT handicap accessible, having stairs between the parking lot and the front door. Buildings are dated but well maintained. Condo decor differs from unit to unit, depending on each owner's personal taste. My ground floor condo was perfect for my needs, with a full kitchen, a king bed, and a patio facing a scenic golf course. Daily housekeeping services kept my condo clean, neat and well-supplied with clean towels, dishwasher soap, shampoo, conditioner and bath soap. Public areas in my condo building included an ice machine (ground floor) and a free laundry room (upstairs). Washers and dryers are free to use, but bring your own laundry detergent. No need to drive within the resort. You can walk, rent a bike, or ride the free shuttle buses which provide door-to-door service on demand. However, a car is essential to shop on Hwy 19, too far to walk: supermarkets, drug stores, restaurants, AAA, banks. Resort pools are well-maintained. Free wifi was adequate for basics like checking email, although it tended to be slow in the evening, presumably when many guests were simultaneously online. The resort is peaceful and beautiful: trees with Spanish moss, birds singing, manicured lawns. From my condo patio, I enjoyed watching ducks, egrets, ibis and even a red-bellied woodpecker. Staff are cheerful and professional. As a woman traveling alone, I feel safe in this gated enclave with 24/7 security. I enjoy staying in a homey condo with convenient shuttle bus service to the on-site conference facilities. This resort is not fancy or ultra-modern, but it is homey, comfortable and friendly.

Had an excellent experience at the Salamander Grille, we were there for golf on the 17th and had a few cocktails and a bite to eat. This was a group of us guys who like to joke around and the server Errin handled us, our food service and drinks were excellent she had a great personality. We didn't have to wait for anything. We will return. We told we will be back k to see her again it was a pleasurable experience. Great drink, good service, good food. Errin Go Bragh! Nice girl!
Old musty smelling rooms, blocked plumbing and uncomfortable bed, every restaurant closed on Sunday except self service which we were not informed of when booking, charged 234 dollars to play the Island course when condition not worth more than 50 and should have been closed.

Innisbrook is a beautiful East coast resort. I did not play golf on this trip, but they have an 18 hole championship course I have played in the past. The resort has the beach, a pool, gym, spa, several bars and restaurants. The rooms and suites are large and comfortable. The staff is very good.
