Reviews for Gran Melia Victoria
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights early August Easily got to from airport Stayed in Red Level Room Lovely room, very well finished and good facilities. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning very effective Wifi was hit and miss Good pool area and nice pool with plenty of sun beds and seating. Excellent breakfast with large range of options. Red level was expensive and was not worth the cost. Poor offering of canapés All staff were most friendly and helpful at all times A lovely hotel but red Level not worth cost

We came for 3 night mid Aug. And booked a deluxe room with partial sea view. I would go for full sea view if price permits. Pool area is fabulous with a sea water pool and loads of shaded (& unshaded) sun loungers. We nipped out at lunch time and there was plenty of little eateries to choose from. The old town is a pleasant half hour walk along the marina. Breakfast was gorgeous. Would love to come back.
We came hear at the beginning of July for 4 nights. We had a side sea view room, we were up on a high floor and right on the corner and it was perfect. We were really apprehensive about coming after having read some bad reviews on here but we didn't have a bad experience at all. Yes, the decor is dated. However, the hotel doesn't look tired, it isn't dirty or run down, it is just the style of the hotel and you can tell that in the 90's it really was a premium hotel. We only had breakfast and lunch at the hotel, all meals were great. We had cocktails every evening on the terrace which was fantastic and the service was great. The pool was beautiful, very very clean and the staff poolside that served drinks were also fantastic. We arrived at 11am, didn't give the hotel notice we were going to be arriving early and it wasn't an issue for them, we got straight in. We also checked out at 1pm, which again they were completely fine about and didn't charge us. The walk into Palma is also lovely, takes about 15 mins but if you do a slow walk to watch the jumping fish and take in the views then give yourself 25 mins if you have a reservation in the city. I would say yes, this is a 5* hotel however you aren't paying 5* prices. So for the complaints that it shouldn't be 5*, then I think they should pay more and go and stay at The Nakar hotel and compare the two with value for money, I think we got it at the Gran Melia.

Very friendly and professional service. Good atmosphere. Noise from the street near pool area was slightly annoying but bearable. But all in all it was very nice experience. I don't think its great value for money though. Previously stayed in Gran Melia branches and truly enjoyed it.

Get a full on sea view room ,sit back and enjoy the show. Take your binoculars and "boat watch" Need to get up early and bag a sunbed-- not at the Victoria---have a lie in you will love it. Great rooms, staff, food and ambience.
