I had read some of the reviews which commented on lack of sound proofing so had emailed in advance asking for a top floor room as I am noise sensitive. We arrived to be told we were on the same level as reception/ bar area and when the porter put in the air con to demonstrate it the place sounded like it was ready for take off so back to reception ( after 10pm by this time) to be told to take a seat. Approx 45 mins later we were told the motor had needed replacing and was now fine so back to the room we went. My partner asked the porter what is this door to be told it was an interconnected room. I had read in the reviews that these are the pits and you are as well in the same room as your neighbours. We paid £4000 for ten nights bed and breakfast so back I went to reception and told them the room was unacceptable and I had read all about the issues with interconnected rooms. Who thinks it is acceptable to put guests in rooms connected to other guests who are not in the same party? The Annabelle it appears. It’s now 1130 and we have been on the go for 15 hours so I said we will stay that night and I then wanted alternative accommodation which the receptionist said she would sort with the manager. Next morning I was shown an alternative room which I accepted but with hindsight I should have declined as it was a side sea view located next to the hotel lobby area with dining tables below so you got nothing but banging and clattering from 630 and people sitting outside the bar area chatting or music playing. It also looked o to the main pool with all the squealing that entailed. I had paid extra for a sea view but there was no refund offered for that. The quality of the glazing is so poor that none of the noise is blocked from these rooms and there are only sliding wooden shutters which don’t block out the light and whilst there were curtain rods there were no curtains. The rooms are dated and pretty run down ie chips in the tiles in the bathroom, mastic patches to holes etc. The hotel is not like any other five star we have stayed at previously- it may have been 15-20 years ago but it needs a revamp. We went for breakfast only 1 morning as it was like a crèche - not suitable for couples looking for a relaxing holiday. There are no areas or pools designated for adults so loads of poorly supervised kids tearing around the place. One night the noise from the lobby bar was so loud I emailed to ask what time we could expect to sleep ( and I had ear plugs in) Next day a bottle of wine and some fruit was left by the reception manager which was appreciated. The balconies are not usable if you value and privacy as they are wrought iron and all directly open views to your neighbouring guests and guests around the pool etc. if you had a neighbour on their back y chatting they may as well have been in the room with you. I have never stayed in accommodation with worse soundproofing. The staff were lovely and the room was very clean but the main attraction this hotel as is location as it is right next to the harbour area. We visited the Ive Mare in Dec 2024 but felt it was a bit far from the hub but we would prefer to return there which is five star standards and adults only. We would rather pay for taxis etc than stay in the Annabelle with all its faults and shortcomings. All in all a disappointing experience and one not to be repeated.

We have just returned from a week's holiday with family staying at the Annabelle hotel in Paphos. Quite apart from the fact that the weather was wonderful, our stay was perfect in so many respects. It is a very large hotel, but felt manageable in size because it was so well laid out, and there were so many different areas to which one could retreat. It was sparkling clean throughout, both indoors and outdoors ; our rooms were spacious and really well appointed with good quality furniture (including beds and bedding) and fittings; we had a lovely private balcony overlooking the sea. The swimming pool areas offered terrific variety and there were ample sun beds, including down by the sea where you could bathe off a tiny little rocky cove. We stayed half board and the quality of the food was excellent. Special praise to the kitchen for the breakfasts which were abundant, varied, balanced, and freshly cooked. I really don't know how they did it with so many people staying at the hotel but the chef and his staff were cheerful and unfailingly polite. All the staff - reception, housekeeping, waiters etc- were helpful and efficient- the waiter in the lobby bar was particularly patient with our party's multiple orders and changes of mind. All in all it was a week of complete r &r for all of us and we were really sad to leave.

This was our fourth stay at the Annabelle, and we noticed a few changes since our last visit two years ago — most notably in the dining arrangements. Previously, the main restaurant by the pool offered a nightly buffet, while guests could choose to dine at any of the other three restaurants as they pleased. Now, two restaurants open each evening on a rotating basis, each serving a set three-course menu. Over our two-week stay, every meal we tried was exemplary, with each restaurant showcasing its own distinctive style and character. Although the evenings were getting cooler, it was still possible to dine outdoors, which we appreciated — the indoor restaurant spaces remain somewhat bland and lacking in atmosphere. Large hotel dining rooms are often difficult to style, but a touch more imagination could make these interiors far more inviting. One minor downside was the number of children staying at the hotel during our visit. The Annabelle is a family hotel, of course, so you would expect some families — but this year, two weeks before the end of the Autumn term, there seemed to be an unusually large number. The behaviour of a small group of unsupervised children (3 girls and 3 boys) certainly affected the relatively peaceful atmosphere until the third day of the first week but after that, things settled and the holiday was once again thoroughly enjoyable. A special mention goes to Estathios, who worked tirelessly around the pool, and to all the restaurant and dining staff, who were consistently attentive, professional, and friendly. Overall, despite a few minor quibbles, the Annabelle once again delivered an exceptional stay, and we look forward to returning.

A great location with an easy stroll to other restaurants in Paphos within minutes. We had a fabulous room with a pool but was overshadowed by a huge hedge which meant the pool only got a couple of hours sun. (The big pool is ample so won't bother with a private one next time). The cleanliness of our room and bathroom was enhanced by Rupesh who serviced our room everyday, what a star! This guy is awesome! The Barstaff are great and Pandula looked after us extremely well. The only noise came from one of the party boats that passes by every now and then and certainly didn't bother us. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is nice, however, we dined at the Amarosa one evening and were put in a part of the restaurant which was very brightly lit with no atmos at all. Sadly it was a bit blowy outside and there were a few 'senior' guests that beat us to sitting just inside which had much better ambience. The menu is a bit limited too which was disappointing. I would rate this as excellent and we are definitely going back there.

Hotel in an ideal position in Kato Pafos. This was our 9th visit & it didn't disappoint. A choice of 4 restaurants with an excellent choice of food. We booked a superior sea view room & were upgraded to a duplex. Staff are very helpful & friendly. The hotel has lagoon pools & a large swimming pool with lovely gardens. We hope to visit again in the near future.
