Reviews for Annabelle

Well worth the money

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The hotel is close to the beach and the harbour providing a great variety of bars and restaurants. Our board was B&B and a great variety was provided for breakfast from various cooked items like omelettes cooked to order and all the stuff you expect for a good breakfast, meat options and a variety of egg choices. For people wanting something light there was smoked salmon and a vast array of cooked meats and cheeses. the bread selection is wide... Service in any of the bars and restaurants was second to none with choice of in or outdoors. The staff in all areas were top draw for attentiveness and speed/quality of service. All the pools had attendant lifeguards and there was no shortage of beds and for the "Bed towel protectors" it was seen that more than an hour unattended and the towels were removed, great to see. For all the world cup watchers there was a bar call "Why Not" directly over the road with no less than 6 or 7 screens and so popular that for any of the England games you had to reserve a table early. The room we had was quite spacious, lots of draw and hanging space and a pleasant garden view. Great toiletries provided and replenished when needed. The TV has all the UK BBC and ITV channels and a number of film channels for those wanting a quiet night in and and reasonable sized balcony for a leisurely evening under the stars. Aircon in the room was totally adjustable and the whole place had a really nice ambience. For anyone wanting to move around the island or Paphos town I recommend the busses and getting a 7 day pass for 25 euros. We did and would have spent 25 euros on normal fare on two days, great value for all the blue (local) services. Finally, the put right a previous review regarding a charge for use of one of the facilities: - "The Fridge mentioned is not a fridge but is a 'Mini-Bar' and the claim that using it would attract a fine should read 'Use for perishables is not allowed and and usage fee will be applied if used for such items'... For the persons posting this should have read the card in the draw above the minibar and not make statements that were misleading... We all had a fantastic stay and will return in the future.

Amazing experience at the Annabelle

By far one of the best hotel experiences. We have been to Paphos before, and by far the best hotel on the harbour. Nice and relaxing, staff could not be more helpful. A special thank you to Bipul and friends who worked at the Grotto bar who made our experience one to remember. Hotel was spotless, rooms cleaned and new towels TWICE a day. Breakfast had a lot of options to choose from. Plenty of sunbeds too. Very comfy to lie on. No sunbed wars at this hotel, just go down to the pool and collect your towels when ready to sunbathe and swim! Hotel bar of a night had a lovely atmosphere, very clam and relaxing. Had live singer who was fantastic, during the day also musician playing on piano. Just fantastic and added to the relaxing experience. QR codes provided around pool areas too, enabling people to order food and drinks whilst they relax. This was a great added touch, as you did not have to pay there and then and carry money / cards with you as this was added to your room bill at the end. Drinks and food were delicious and great value for money. We would personally recommend the mango daquori! Thank you Annabelle who made our experience amazing this summer. We got engaged here and planning our wedding at this exact hotel and cannot wait for our family to experience it. See you soon.

A wonderful short break

This has been a truly wonderful hotel and we have had a really relaxing and enjoyable few days staying here. The service from the moment we arrived has been impeccable and the staff can really not do enough for us. All of the reception staff, waiting staff, and housekeeping staff have gone above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible and no request has been too small or delivered with delay. We had a side sea view room, which was really wonderful, and the breakfast was everything you could need or want. We have a kosher diet and the hotel provided us with a fully kosher breakfast every morning, which was very much appreciated. The pool area is really large, well kept and very quiet and peaceful. There is a selection of swimming pools and you can also walk down to a private beach, which is really special to sit on. The hotel itself is kept beautifully. There are constantly people cleaning and polishing and the ambiance is one of relaxation. The location of the hotel itself is perfect, just a two- or three-minute walk away from the harbor stop. We really could not recommend this hotel or Paphos highly enough.

Far exceeded our expectations

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Our anticipation was high on arrival as we had wanted to experience this hotel for many years. From arrival to departure we thoroughly enjoyed our time. We had booked a terrace sea view room and it was perfect for us. The staff everywhere are delightful. The food and service levels in all of the onsite restaurants was superb. My personal particular highlight was the spa and I thoroughly enjoyed my Himalayan stone massage, however the cryo and LED facial on my penultimate day was on another level. I literally felt and looked 10 years younger. Thank you Lina. Nothing to do with the hotel but the June humidity I found to be a little uncomfortable so my preference would be September/October revisits. Location is great. Very close to harbour area. Lots of amenities close by. Pharmacy, shops, restaurants, supermarket etc. The Old Town is about 12 euros taxi fare but there is also a frequent bus service. Already planning our next trip. My husband and I agree that this could be our annual October getaway! A little constructive feedback. If you are booked on a bed and breakfast basis, there is a very worthwhile option to upgrade to half board for 35 euros each per day. This can be purchased as and when required on site, however the reception staff do not tell you this is available. Other guests told us. It would be really worthwhile to either have a channel on the tv to tell you all about the hotel you are staying in, rather than the reel about Thanos Group, that tells you nothing. Many reviews talk about the 25 euro daily charge for personal use of the mini fridge however we did not encounter that. However because of the reviews I did not use it for my medication which was detrimental. After a few days I asked at reception and they advised there was no issue with using the fridge. Again if there was a little guide book in the room with this kind of detail it would be helpful.
