This is our 2nd visit in consecutive years. Decided to book again for November 2026 but jet2 have upped their prices by over 15% - so much for black Friday discounts. Will try Tui and see if they reward customer loyalty.

Excellent location on the beach front within walking distance of the port and the UNESCO archeological site of ancient Paphos. Beautiful and well maintained grounds and pools, plenty of deck chairs, excellent and varied restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and included everything we could possibly want.

We had a wonderful stay at the Annabelle! It’s definitely the best of the sister hotels, and being able to use the facilities at all of them was a big bonus with so many great dining options. We chose half board, which suited us perfectly as we were usually out during the day. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, and there are plenty of lovely restaurants along the harbour, just a short walk away. Our family corner room was beautiful — spacious and ideal with young children. Being on the ground floor meant we could walk straight out to the pool, which was so convenient. Our kids (4 and 6) loved the kids’ club! The staff were amazing — warm, caring, and full of energy. The space was bright and welcoming, and the variety of activities kept them happily busy. The hotel has a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere and never felt overcrowded. Staff throughout were friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely. We had such a memorable family holiday and would absolutely stay again!

We have been staying at Annabelle for over Twenty years and have just returned home from our 22nd stay. Annabelle has the best location in Paphos, just a short 15 minutes walk to the harbour and right on the seafront. There is a private beach area to the rear and beautiful tropical gardens with 2 outdoor pools and various other places to cool off including the swim-up bar. We stayed in a studio suite with sea view, and having stayed in most types of room this is our favourite. The room was really spacious with fantastic sea views. The furnishings were all of good quality and the bed was really comfortable. We had everything we needed. It was also spotlessly clean and had a good size balcony with sun loungers, table and chairs. We ate in all of the restaurants as we were on half board basis and the food choice, quality and service were all excellent. Breakfast was in the Fontana which was also open on a few night during our stay for buffet dinner. The choice and quality of the food in the Fontana restaurant was also excellent. Everything was replenished quickly and the hot food selections were actually hot. We had a fantastic time again, totally relaxing, thanks to the amazing staff at Annabelle who couldn’t do enough for us. Already booked 23rd and 24th visits.

I had read some of the reviews which commented on lack of sound proofing so had emailed in advance asking for a top floor room as I am noise sensitive. We arrived to be told we were on the same level as reception/ bar area and when the porter put in the air con to demonstrate it the place sounded like it was ready for take off so back to reception ( after 10pm by this time) to be told to take a seat. Approx 45 mins later we were told the motor had needed replacing and was now fine so back to the room we went. My partner asked the porter what is this door to be told it was an interconnected room. I had read in the reviews that these are the pits and you are as well in the same room as your neighbours. We paid £4000 for ten nights bed and breakfast so back I went to reception and told them the room was unacceptable and I had read all about the issues with interconnected rooms. Who thinks it is acceptable to put guests in rooms connected to other guests who are not in the same party? The Annabelle it appears. It’s now 1130 and we have been on the go for 15 hours so I said we will stay that night and I then wanted alternative accommodation which the receptionist said she would sort with the manager. Next morning I was shown an alternative room which I accepted but with hindsight I should have declined as it was a side sea view located next to the hotel lobby area with dining tables below so you got nothing but banging and clattering from 630 and people sitting outside the bar area chatting or music playing. It also looked o to the main pool with all the squealing that entailed. I had paid extra for a sea view but there was no refund offered for that. The quality of the glazing is so poor that none of the noise is blocked from these rooms and there are only sliding wooden shutters which don’t block out the light and whilst there were curtain rods there were no curtains. The rooms are dated and pretty run down ie chips in the tiles in the bathroom, mastic patches to holes etc. The hotel is not like any other five star we have stayed at previously- it may have been 15-20 years ago but it needs a revamp. We went for breakfast only 1 morning as it was like a crèche - not suitable for couples looking for a relaxing holiday. There are no areas or pools designated for adults so loads of poorly supervised kids tearing around the place. One night the noise from the lobby bar was so loud I emailed to ask what time we could expect to sleep ( and I had ear plugs in) Next day a bottle of wine and some fruit was left by the reception manager which was appreciated. The balconies are not usable if you value and privacy as they are wrought iron and all directly open views to your neighbouring guests and guests around the pool etc. if you had a neighbour on their back y chatting they may as well have been in the room with you. I have never stayed in accommodation with worse soundproofing. The staff were lovely and the room was very clean but the main attraction this hotel as is location as it is right next to the harbour area. We visited the Ive Mare in Dec 2024 but felt it was a bit far from the hub but we would prefer to return there which is five star standards and adults only. We would rather pay for taxis etc than stay in the Annabelle with all its faults and shortcomings. All in all a disappointing experience and one not to be repeated.
