I loved the anabelle hotel! From the moment we entered to the last minute of our stay. I will start by mentioning how professional and friendly was the check in, quick smooth and efficient! They even asked about any allergies. I should mention how nice the lobby is, the piano at night, the pool and the beach side! The rooms are comfortable, we asked for connecting rooms and we got that, the beds are super comfortable, the toilet amenities are the white company, so very nice, turn down service is done every night, but the room can be refurbished a bit. There were also cute small slippers and bath robes for our girls, they loved it! Breakfast is amazing, the outside seating so comfortable and with a lovely view, the food is well varied and yummy! My daughter fell down and injured herself while in breakfast, the staff were super friendly, they joked with her, got the first aid kit and took good care of her, managed to take our room number, although they were super busy, and the next day we found a letter from guest services asking about her and if she is feeling better, they made us feel super special. Enough describing, this one of the few places where i saw all the staff genuinely smiling and doing an excellent job, throughout the hotel! Well done for an excellent job, we will come back for sure and dont go looking any further for a hotel in paphos! The annabelle is the one

We are just back from a wonderful week at the Annabelle. The lovely welcoming calm atmosphere of this hotel along with the friendly and attentive staff make this hotel truly five star. The food is also excellent, we ate in the buffet and Amorosa restaurants and they were fantastic. We had a sea view room which was beautiful, very understated decor but with very luxurious finishes. Its the little touches that make a hotel standout, for example i celebrated a birthday in the hotel and I did not inform them it was my birthday as its not my style to do that. However, housekeeping must have seen the birthday cards in my room, I came back to discover a beautiful chocolate birthday cake with strawberries and a note from the manager wishing me a happy birthday! Such a lovely touch. The service in this hotel is what makes it five star, the staff cannot do enough for you, always attentive, pleasant and smiling. I have stayed in many so called five star hotels over the years all over the world including the Grand Hyatt NYC Ritz Carlton Dubai, Lough Eske Castle Ireland, where the standard of accommodation was amazing but the hotel was let down miserably with bad service. The standard of service in my opinion is what makes a hotel truly five star and the annabelle has the best level of service and staff i've ever experienced, anywhere.

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days and we both had mixed feelings. The strengths as many have highlighted are the staff who are excellent across the board from the housekeepers to the bar staff and restaurant workers. Also the location for Paphos Harbour is also great with this on the doorstep with access to bars and restaurants. The hotel is clean and our room was always spotless. Now to the issues; Firstly as a couple with no children the hotel was full of them. Granted it is Summer holidays but there are no areas designated for adults, therefore the children were in every pool with their balls and inflatables which was really annoying. The swim up bar pool which in our opinion should be reserved for adults had children in it, sitting on the seats, throwing balls, playing on big inflatables and on one occasion a child actually ran across the bar top during our stay, narrowly missing our drinks. The bar staff are great and try and tackle this but with parents who don't back them up this is impossible to enforce. At times I felt like I was at Butlins! Also the main pool is ridiculously hot, I went in it once and it was uncomfortable in the heat and gave not an ounce of respite. Our room was standard and was clean but really basic for a hotel that not only cost a lot to stay but is classed as a 5 star. We had brown shutters and no voile curtains so because people could see in we had to constantly have the shutter closed which meant it was dark all of the time. Drinks prices are standard but the water was ridiculous at €3.50, compared to 50 cents in the supermarkets. I think this is steep for water and I would expect a 1.5l bottle minimum to be provided daily for free as it is in most hotels. During our stay we found that it was hot in all areas within the hotel. The air con was not adequate in the main restaurant or any public areas, at times you could barely feel it and with temperatures of 36 degrees it was not ideal. We would be sweating eating breakfast!!! Although I wouldn't return as we rarely visit the same place twice I think with some small changes that this hotel could be amazing as it so has the potential. It just didn't quite cut it for us.

After recently staying at the annabelle hotel.. I felt I needed to write this review. We stayed here for 7 days and to be honest we were ready to leave the hotel when our departure date arrived.. The hotel is very clean.. the rooms are quiet dated though.. clean but dated.. The beds are very comfortable.. service from the pool bar and pool were fantastic.. We ate by the pool most afternoons and the prices were very expensive for what you got.. the portion were tiny, I ordered a salad which he about 2 slices of tomatoes and 2/3 olives and some fete cheese.. it was awful. The pool menus was very basic to... The breakfast was very average but dinner which was buffet was quiet nice... The chefs were very prompt when cooking the food and waitresses were very good and professional.. The hotel does have a kids club but you have to pay for it.. which is very surprising for a 5 star hotel this should be included... This was another put off for us.. The hotel didn't have much of an evening entertainment.. I think couple of nights you get some singers singing in the lobby but no one really notices them they kind of blend in the background.. It's quiet embarrassing as no one really acknowledges them.. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my family of friends.. I will next year stick to the Elysium hotel which is only about 5-10 away from this hotel
