The Hermosa Inn is the epitome of understated elegance. The grounds are well- maintained and lushly landscaped for arid Arizona! The casita that we were given was recently renovated. The room was spacious with a king-sized bed and high end linens. The towels, both in room and poolside, were luxurious. There were several of Lon Megargee's works in our room and, of course, a museum's worth of his art scattered around the premises. The reception area was tastefully furnished and a comfortable place to play a board game or browse through a magazine. In the morning, coffee(although fresh -brewed would suit a place of this caliber better than K-cups) was available along with some light pastries. The front desk staff were well-informed and very personable as were the parking valets. The inn is a short ride from SkyHarbor Airport and light years away in ambiance from the large conference and young family-geared hotels that dominate the greater Phoenix area. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else on a return trip!

This resort is incredible! Very unique, it's a hidden garden. The rooms are like condos with a rustic touch, decorated very nicely. The grounds are beautiful, customer service was excellent and the restaurant was outdoors with live music. It could not have been any more amazing! Very special place! Delicious food.

This was my first visit to Hermosa Inn and it was great, I just wish I could've brought the sun back with me:) It was very easy to get from the Phoenix airport to the Inn, about 15-20 minutes. The Inn is in a secluded area of Scottsdale, very quiet and peaceful. When we arrived we were promptly looked after and taken to our room. The resort is absolutely breathtaking. The pictures don't do it justice! Valet parking: these guys work their tails off! We were always looked after in a timely manner, they were all friendly and we always observed them running around and helping whoever required attention. Lon's Restaurant: we had a number of meals at Lon's and were not disappointed once. Every meal was delicious. From eggs benedict with coffee, to an appetizer of shredded brussel sprouts (wow!), to an entree of petaluma chicken and short ribs. Every meal was perfection. The staff were polite and professional, not overbearing like some places tend to be. The setting is amazing. In the morning the sun slowly peaks through the trees and in the evening you are dining underneath the stars. Pool: the pool area is small but this doesn't take away from anything. We usually settled in early at the pool. The lounge chairs were very comfortable and the staff were by every 10-15 minutes to ask if we required anything. The guacamole and chips were very tasty. We wiled away every morning/afternoon at the pool. It's a great way to pass the time. Room: we stayed in a Rancho room. Plenty of space for two people. King size bed was very comfortable, slept well every night. The bathroom is spacious, large shower area. The closet is in the bathroom, which I found a little strange, but I didn't utilize it. Housekeeping: this would be one area I would say requires some extra attention. We had the same routine every day. Housekeeping would stop by in the morning and we would let them know either we would be at breakfast or by the pool and to stop by in about 10-15 minutes. Twice when we left for the pool, we had the 'Service Please' sign on the door and when we stopped by after a few hours the room still had not been cleaned. From my experience, housekeeping will remember to come back to your room if the sign is on your door or you haven't left when they initially stop by in the morning. So on those days when the room hadn't been cleaned, I called guest services and they sent someone down. Overall, the room was well maintained. A few times I turned on the fireplace when it became cooler in the evening, warmed the room up pretty darn quickly:) On the whole, Hermosa Inn is a great place to stay, eat and lounge by the pool. I would highly recommend it.

We splurged to stay three night at this beautiful resort. Our casita was very comfortable and quiet with a hot tub just off the back porch. The flowers, gardens and landscape are spectacular. Lon's, a high end restaurant is right on the property.

Once you've stayed at The Hermosa Inn you'll be spoiled forever! You're greeted by beautiful flowers and lovely grounds the moment you drive up, and you're taken care of by wonderful and helpful staff. The casitas are beautifully appointed, quiet and roomy with lots of closet and dresser space. Lon's is a famous dinner spot with a great new chef and lovely outdoor dining - also serving really good breakfast and lunches. The pool is small but just fine. You can take wonderful walks in the neighborhood or the canal is close by and gives you miles of trail without traffic. The location is close to lots restaurants and cafes within a mile or two. And the staff has lots of suggestions as well. If you want a sprawling mega resort with convention clatter, this is not your spot. But if you want a hidden gem that is beautiful, quiet and special where you're taken care of, check out The Hermosa Inn!!
