My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon at Hermosa Inn and enjoyed every minute! The whole property is cozy and serene. We loved all of the beautiful flowers, cozy sitting areas with fireplaces, and enjoying drinks on the patio. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and my husband was pretty happy about the fresh baked cookies every night! We ate dinner at Lon's and enjoyed an incredible meal (get the bison duo!) with excellent service. Dining on the patio at Lon's is so beautiful, especially on a cool desert evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, all of the staff members were wonderful and accommodating. We will be back!

Although the property is lovely; we had friends that dined at Lon's a few months ago and had rave reviews. Thus when we were looking for a 4 or 5 Diamond Property to celebrate our special anniversary we stepped out of our box (normally stay at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton) and selected this property. We normally come to the Scottsdale area 2-3 times a year for a nice relaxing low stress break. We too are in the service industry and appreciate quality, exceptional service and value. Unfortunately the stress started just after checking into the Hermosa on 10/11. We arrived at our casita and all appeared fine thru our rose colored glasses. Once we removed them my partner said - "wow look at all of these marks on the walls and around the fireplace!" He then said "I'm going to take a shower to get ready for dinner - OMG did you see this huge 30" crack in the shower floor on the diagonal grout line? Did they give us a non functioning room?" That was the beginning of the stress. Not to mention the television that didn't work or trying to locate the buttons to turn on the spa tub outside of our room. After dinner we were greeted with a tray of 2 warm cookies - nice gesture. Unfortunately we couldn't eat them as they were covered by ants and we had to throw them away. It is VERY clear that there is not a Rooms Housekeeping Manager that checks each room daily as all of these items could have been avoided. It's all in the details. After our 1st night experience they moved us to a recently renovated room - unfortunately nobody bothered to follow up on the condition of the new room or its appointments. 1) Frayed bath sheets/towels in the bathroom. 2) Walls even more scuffed around the fireplace, outside of the closet door (fingerprints in makeup), more marks to the left of the bed near the bathroom. 3) Paint peeling off the wall to the left of the tub. 4) Caked on dust on all of the plantation shutters - was disgusting looking. They have never been dusted since the install in the room. 5) Trees/shrubbery on patio and walkway so overgrown that it looks messy. For example the small 7' tree on the patio leaning at a 90 degree angle and falling over. Should be tied or stakes to straighten. Overgrown bushes on walkway need to be pruned. 6) Blood stain on duvet cover. We basically chalked this up to further disappointment about our stay at what we thought was a Four Diamond Property and unfortunately is not. The main difference from a 3 Diamond Property to a Four Diamond Property is attention to details and service. Both of which we did not experience. Don't be fooled as we were. After reading other reviews of this property on this site they have been struggling with many of these same issues for a few years now and all they do is apologize; but nothing changes. There are more than 10 other Four and Five Diamond Properties to stay at in the Paradise Valley/Scottsdale area. We HIGHLY suggest you consider those options first. We did reach out to the general manager and although he was nice; it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Dissatisfied Guests

We loved the personal notes that were left for us. It was our anniversary and they left chocolate covered strawberries and a card in our room that was signed by all the staff. The decor and gardens are stunning. Every night they would come and put fresh baked cookies in our room and leave a program detailing the local happenings for the next day. There was a CD of very calming music also playing when we would return to our room in the evening. The robes and linens were of good quality and we liked them very much. We especially appreciated the huge walk-in closet and safe. Last but not least, the food is amazing. We had the fish and chips with a Hermosa Mule by the pool almost every day. We also want to thank Angela for being so nice to us and really taking care of anything that we might need. She went above and beyond. Overall, you can't go wrong with The Hermosa Inn.

We spent a few lights in Scottsdale to primarily shop (my wife is unable to find cloths or shoes in her petite size). We chose the Hermosa based on reviews, size and it's location close to major malls. First the room was located in the 'older' section. It was large with a huge bathroom, large sitting area and private garden patio. For the most part it was pretty quiet but on occasion you cold hear muted voices late at night. We did not try Lon's for dinner but we did have a very nice and relaxing breakfast the next day. The breakfast itself was exceptional. Staff are friendly and front desk operates 24 hours a day. There is valet parking and you should take advantage of it as there is a resort charge of $29/night which covers it. If there was a negative it was that the bar drinks were measured. Reminded me of Utah liquor laws and the drink itself was weak. All in all the Inn was pleasant, relaxing and very good value for the money

This is a boutique resort that exudes intimacy. The rooms are quaint and inviting. The bed is on the firm side but still comfortable. Pool is small but not many visited. Best part, no kids!!! Lons is great for afternoon snack. I loved this place!!
