We stayed at Mountain Shadows for two nights and wish we had booked more. After those two nights we went very closely to another resort. Each morning we came back to MS because the breakfasts were so good and the staff great. Penny, Brook and Susan were like family and so attentive. We can't say enough about these gals and the food. Everything was perfect, a handsome dining room, nice views, great service and very pleasant. For sure we will be back and have only the nicest things to say. Beautiful setting, fantastic views and an 18 hole golf course. Mark & Paula

We came to Phoenix to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. The hotel is very nice, definitely a 4-star hotel. The decor is modern and clean. Our room was next tot eg pool area, and convenient, although you can hear early morning conversations if people are out walking. There was a wedding on Friday and Saturday night, and one night, the reception was on a rooftop space, and loud. The hotel is lively; just keep that in mind if you have a peaceful get away in mind. Nonetheless, we would stay here again. .

Excellent service at the pool! Rooms are nice and clean as well. Dom and Haley are the best. Would highly recommend this hotel.

My review could contain all the wonderful amenities that this resort holds, but I am going to focus on one particular employee, and honest human being. Her name is Mireya, and although we never met, I cannot express the gratitude my husband and I have for this amazing long time housekeeper at Mountain Shadows. We enjoyed a weekend celebrating a family wedding, and partied until early morning despite having to fly back home the next day. Both my husband and I took in the mountains and scenery, the warm weather, and beautiful, clean, spacious suite. During the day we enjoyed the pool with its exceptional staff and customer service. We have been to many resorts, the young staff was respectful and accommodating to all our needs with no hesitation. We never waited for a server to ask and deliver as quickly and kindly as these pool staff employees did. Your staff is exceptional. We dined in the restaurant the first evening, and the food and drinks were delicious, our waiter/server was informative, friendly, smiling and attentive. The wedding was gorgeous, and the flow of events so unique. Both my husband and I loved the flow from the ceremony to cocktail hour to main course, and ending the night on the dance floor with yummy desserts. The hybrid band concept was new to us, and we thought it was genius, a few instruments and DJ gave the illusion that there was only a band. As you can imagine it was a whirlwind weekend from the welcome party to departure, and we were exhausted, but in a good way. We literally threw our clothes in suitcases and rushed to check out. Although, I checked the drawers and ran my hand in the safe to make sure we removed everything, somehow we left behind our document bag holding some items valued at over $1100.00. We didn't realize it was left behind until Dennis Holman, the Front Desk Director and Sydnee Ryder, Front Office Manager contacted my husband, and confirmed the item found in the room that we left behind. Mireya found it while turning over the room for the next guests, and without hesitation brought it to the attention of her managers. The integrity and honesty of Mireya shall not go unnoticed by Mountain Shadow Corporate. We offered to compensate Mireya for the return, but Dennis reassured us that she will be compensated via Mountain Shadows Resort. Please keep your promise, as Mireya kept hers to be an excellent, trustworthy, long standing employee of Mountain Shadows Resort, Scottsdale. She deserves recognition. Truthfully. this is the first time I have ever experienced such loyalty, and moral correctness from an establishment. Thank you. With gratitude Mr. and Mrs. Carucci

We went to Mountain Shadows in April 2024 for our Babymoon, we had stayed last May at the resort as well. We have had a great time on both trips and would return again. Rooms are very spacious, AC works great, and had a great mountain view this time. We love relaxing by the pool, pool servers are great, very relaxing vibe, this is not a "party" resort in general. Great for a couples trip or babymoon. The restaurant on site, Hearth 61 has phenomenal food, we love getting breakfast/lunch there and the bar has great cocktails too. They had live music in the evenings on the weekend which was very enjoyable. The grounds and neighborhood are very nice, safe, great for walks. Would recommend this resort to a friend.
