I was expecting the worst upon our arrival to the Castille (we booked our stay through a blind booking, something I had never done before) however I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. The hotel is centrally located near all the major sights and a short walk to the Concorde and Madeleine metro stops. The hotel is definitely a boutique hotel so if anyone is looking for a Westin or Marriott type feel this is not the place for you. My first impression was the lobby which is nicely furnished and comfortable. (There is a resident cat at the hotel. It was kind of funny seeing him lounging and sleeping in the lobby. He did not approach anyone and was very quiet) Rooms - We specifically requested rooms facing the garden and not Rue Cambon and were glad we did (due to the noise from the street). I have been to Paris multiple times and was expecting a small "European" type room but was very pleased with the size of the room. It was spacious (for European standards) and nicely furnished (also very clean!). The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. The view of the Eiffel Tower was also an added bonus! The bathroom was a great size with a lot of counter space. The amenities (shampoo, soap, lotion) were very high quality. A downside was that the bathtub/shower did leak when showering which was a bit frustrating and made us use towels for mop up the water (not very environmentally friendly but we had no choice). Also the toilet room was claustrophobically small. Breakfast/Terrace - The breakfast was plentiful with great "american" and European options. The wait staff for the breakfast were very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant area was comfortable and nicely furnished. The terrace is LOVELY unfortunately the staff in the evenings were not very attentive and it was difficult to get a second drink. However, I definitely enjoyed some free time sitting and reading a book. Front Desk/Concierge/Bellmen Staff - The front desk staff were very professional and polite. They were courteous and easy to work with. There seemed to be 3 Concierge on staff. Our favorite was Roman (sp). He was the most knowledgeable and helpful, as you would expect from a Concierge. Naheem was also helpful with restaurant reservations. There was also a 3rd concierge who was very new. He was very friendly and nice but kept referring to Naheem. (I"m sure he will be great once he has more experience but for our visit he was not very helpful.) The bell staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. I would absolutely recommend Castille!

The location of this hotel is fabulous - close to everything. Our stay was perfect, room was comfortable with a lovely juliet balcony to keep the doors open if you wish. We didn't eat there but every time we looked in it was full - a good sign. Concierge & front desk was very very helpful. Good value. No complaints at all!

Hotel Castille Paris is a very well located hotel, in the heart of Paris. It is one block from Place Vandome and on te back of the Ritz. Mayor luxury shops are in the surroundings of the hotel, and Channel is next door. A very nice and big park, Jardín des Tulleries, is just two blocks away- Walking distance also to Louvre musseum and Champs Elyses street, (15 mins). The distance from the airport by taxi is like 40 minutes without traffic. The hotel is not too big, and personal is very attentive to solve any problem, and become to you very familiar, becasue you see them frequently, not like in the big hotels, that you can,t remember any face. The Consierge is always ready to solve you any problem, or get you tickets for whatever. We got tickets sold out, to Roland Garros and Versailles, without making the line, with him. Rooms in Paris hotels are,nt big, but very compact. This hotel has 4 type of rooms. The entry level, compact but at a very good rate. Then a superior one, where I stayed that is nice in size, not been big, but perfect for two persons. The Junior suite has that extra space you need if you like larger rooms, and it,s just a little bit more money than the superior one. I did not see the Suites. In the first floor the hotel has the dinning room and bar. There is an interior patio in the restaurant, where you can smoke and that is very nice and quiet. The menu of the restaurant is very good and at very reasonable prices. Breakfast is also served here, and it,s open buffet with very good choices of food to pick. On the second floor it has a small gym club with 4 or 5 machines, perfect to work out. No doubt that if I come back to Paris, I will stay in Castille Paris hotel.

This is not a 5 star hotel however the location is very good and the rooms are very spacious for Paris. I had two rooms and requested the black and white (coco) rooms because I prefer traditional decor. They were very tasteful. The room that was located on Rue Combon was the more spacious of the two but the noise from the morning rush hour traffic was loud and impossible to sleep through. We were told that due to construction there was more traffic then usual however I would have a conversation about the room/ noise at check in. Additionally the shower in the room was very awkward. You had to go up a step to walk into the stall which was very tiny and it leaked water all over the floor. However, the bathroom was large overall. The other room was a little smaller but quiet and had a tub shower so there were no leaking issues. The lobby was "pretty nice" however the elevator was shabby. As I recall, it was formica rather then wood and the floor moved when you walked in. The elevator bothered me every time I went into it. The concierge was not the most professional and often not at their desk but was helpful is getting us reservations and giving us maps and directions when they were there. We stayed there Thanksgiving weekend, an off time to travel to Paris, so the rates were great and the city was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The flaws in the hotel did not bother me given the inexpensive price we were paying and the relatively spacious rooms by Paris standards. Would I stay there again? It would depend. If I was looking for a true 5 star hotel the I would stay at George V and expect to pay top dollar. If I was running to Paris for a long weekend and wanted a spacious room next to shopping and could get a great rate then maybe. If you are considering this hotel, check out the photos of the rooms first and request the type you want. I requested the coco rooms but would have been very upset if I were given the other more modern style with no carpeting.

I have stayed at Castille for 2 weeks stay and I was not very happy with the service. My stay was over 2 weeks but I checked out during the week end. The first week, all was fine. The room was a bit small but very calm and fully refurbished. Breakfast was good and staff at restaurant was very nice and friendly. However, once I came back after the week end away, it went all wrong. I was initialy given an old room (room #1) where even my suitcase could not fit. Given that I arrived late, I just complained to reception. The day after, when I went back after a long day of work I realised AC was not working in the room#1. Technician said it cannot be repaired. I reminded reception that I complained at check in and asked to change room. I was put in room #2 that was on 1st floor at 10pm and was informed that the room was a bit noisy, which was an euphemism as from 12am until Morning I was waken up every 15minutes by delivery or trash trucks. The next day I complained again to reception and threatened to leave. When I came back my lugages (that I did not unpack for 3 days) were moved to a duplex suite (room#3) and offered a bottle of prosecco. I also received apologie notes from hotel managers. At last, at check out I was given an incomplete bill (showing only charges) and had to call the hotel twice to receive the correct one. In conclusion, I was moved around 3 different rooms during a 6 night-stay including a night where I barely slept. I would definetly not stay again in this hotel.
