I booked this hotel for a romantic weekend away in Paris with my girlfriend. I contacted the hotel beforehand to see what they could do to make our stay extra special. They pulled out all the stops and really took care of us. From start to finish, our stay was relaxing, friendly, and very accommodating. We shall definitely be back in the future.

Location is fantastic, close to the Louvre and Place Vandome, also convenient for luxury shopping. Service is very good, the staff is very attentive. Restaurant tables are distributed around a charming internal courtyard and food is delicious. From our lovely room we could admire the Eiffel tower and also Chanel taylors working in the next door atelier, what an experience! We had a fantastic romantic stay and do look forward to go back.

My wife & I stayed in this hotel in August 2017, and we returned a few days ago from our second stay this February. I gave it a 5-star rating then, and I have no hesitation in doing so again. It is a pleasure to be able to write such a positive review, and I will try to summarise the reasons why our second experience of the Hotel Castille was, if anything, better than the first. We were given a beautiful room with bathroom. I'm a very poor sleeper, and we always request twin beds - but when the front-desk manager took us up to our room, and we discovered that the bed was a double, he immediately allocated us an identical room with twin beds. Our room last August faced the street, but this one faced the inner court area, with the opposite external wall decorated with a huge fresco of rural scenes - not just any old fresco, but clearly the work of a very talented artist. As last year, the breakfasts were excellent, and I greatly looked forward to them each morning. Our first two evenings we had food at the bar, but on the third we had a very fine meal in the restaurant. I had scallops, sea-bass and the most delicious ice cream I have ever tasted. Although we realised this would be expensive, the actual bill was rather lower than we anticipated. This brings me to the staff. They were all, without exception, courteous, friendly and helpful. I will mention the young man at the front desk with whom we had a conversation about his 5 years in Chelsea, London, while I reminisced about my childhood in central London and the bomb-sites still visible there following WW2, the man who served us dinner, who lived near Hampton Court for 2 years, and whose family ran a wine production business in Burgundy, the courteous young woman who served us our bar-meals, the kindly chambermaid, and the doorman who obtained a taxi for our return journey to the airport after we'd been told that there were no taxis running in Paris because of the snow. A beautiful, not over-large hotel with a Belle Epoque atmosphere, a Russian Blue cat, centrally situated. Strongly recommended.

Stayed at the Castille for a couple of nights, located Rue Cambon (next to Chanel original store) the hotel is close to the Louvre, the high-end shops of Rue St Honoré and the Seine River, it does not get much better than that. The lobby is decorated with taste and the front desk staff is courteous and efficient. So far so good, but... the room I got was so small I could not open my luggage on the bed, the bathroom was as small as it could be to fit a tub and a sink. Really nothing special. On the way out I tipped the bell boy after he retrieved my luggage left earlier in the storage room. I was then on my own, do not expect help to put them in a cab. Why so much detail? Because the place has a 5 Star-rating and I can come up with at least 3 hotels in 500 yard radius with better rooms and service. There is nothing horrible with this place, it is simply disappointing.

The staff was extremely attentive and our stay was great! finally a hotel that is overstaffed rather than understaffed. the hotel cat is a nice surprise and is so cute and chubby. The location is great for museums and sightseeing, but not so great for nightlife or cheap dining.
