Reviews for Hilton Paris Opera

Good base to explore Paris and beyond

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Hotel booked based on branding and location. Usual good Hilton room standards and breakfast options. Liked the pot of coffee by the juices, so I could just top up without going to the machine. Location excellent, a tad noisy but to be expected in central Paris and next to a train station. I suspect building restrictions apply to the building and Hilton limited with what they can do to minimise the noise? In any event, after a day or two unaware of the noise. I quite liked the old fashioned windows and the fact that they did open. Teo on reception checked us in and out, excellent professional service and even showed us to the lift on arrival. Concierge organised the taxi to the airport, swift and prompt exit.Jewel in the breakfast room, attentive and pleasant. Encounter several staff daily and all polite and pleasant. Constant bonjour Madame from all staff, very cheery in the morning. Room not the largest compared to others in the chain but adequate. Only issue, no 240 volt plug in the bathroom, so hairdryer noise for my husband in the morning! We managed to wedge the room safe closed, called reception and within minutes, it was fixed. The city tax is high, 8 euros each per night but again we wanted to be in the centre, so you have to pay.Very good stay and we have booked to return again in November. Thank you to all the staff.

Beautiful Hilton Paris, ohh la la!

You must stay here! What a beautiful stay in Paris! It truly checked all of the boxes for me! The service was incredible and the staff so polite and helpful! I stayed in a jr suite which was so lovely. Plenty of room and the decorations and style reminded me I was in Paris! I would also recommend the executive offer with breakfast included as well as cocktail hour. The food was so nice and again the staff very friendly. Thank you for making my stay so memorable! I will be back!

Convenience & Comfort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Extremely well located, walking distance from many Paris atractions, surrounded by shops and nice evening walks and very close to the beautiful Opera. The hotel has very comfortable beds and Pillows, with a balcony facing the busy Paris street, functional and very clean toilets The food was above average in all the dinners I had and nice meat free options. Staff very friendly and flexible always making their best to offer guests a great experience. For sure a place to consider in a next visit to Paris

Do not go

Can not recommend to stay here. Worst service ever. A mouse on the floor of the restaurant by the lobby. Rude service and they did not react to the mouse. Said ”she lives there”. We tried to get a conversation with the so called boss but no luck. I ended up not paying the bill and went to my room-then there was no water. Called reception and they brought water for $50…?

Terribly disappointing.

I can start with the positive. This hotel has the friendliest staff be it at the front desk, the breakfast room or the executive lounge. It is also in a good location. Other than these items the hotel was totally unimpressive. I have been a Hilton Diamond member for 23 years. This was a special anniversary for us and I guess with the costs of this hotel I expected more. I let the hotel know months in advance they we would get to the hotel early. We still had to wait until 16:00 to get a room. We were told we were upgraded to an executive room. If this was an executive upgrade I hate to see what a regular room looks like. The room is so tiny there was no space for our luggage. The bathroom was tiny. We received an anniversary gift of a bag with about 10 chocolate covered almonds and a coupon for a glass is champagne. There was no air conditioning and the room was so hot it was hard to sleep. The breakfast area was good no complaints. The executive lounge was a joke. Nothing in it during the day and the snacks at night seemed to leftovers from other meals. I have been in Hilton executive lounges throughout Europe and Japan. The hotel should be ashamed of what they served. The hotel constantly contacted me before our stay to suggest we pay for an upgrade. So much for recognizing Diamond members with long histories at Hilton. It’s all about the money.
