Three garden terraces turn the Hotel du Collectionneur into an oasis just north of the Champs-Elysees. The hotel's glamorous Art Deco style is inspired by transatlantic cruise liners of the 1930s – green marble, antiques and elaborate period prints adorn the hallways, and top floor rooms have small balconies from which to behold the city below. Sip on absinthe in an alcove at the glitzy Purple Bar, watching life go by on Rue de Courcelles.

We stayed at this hotel as it was listed as a partner hotel for an event my husband was attending. First impressions were quite good, the reception area was nice and the door staff helpful..sadly it was down hill from there. Whilst I appreciate the hotel was busy due to the conference it doesn't excuse poor food hygiene or rooms that have numerous issues or poor service. The first problem we encountered was with the bath / shower the water didn't drain properly. This seems like it might be an ongoing issue given the state of broken tiles in the bathroom. The room was also incredibly hot, and despite asking for help adjusting the temperature, it remained uncomfortably warm. So much so, we resorted to sleeping with the window open (not ideal with a very busy road outside) The sound-proofing in the room was an issue and we could hear everything in the room next door. The service room button was seemingly broken and we had to ask for our room to be serviced on multiple occasions. Also quite strange, that cleaning products or dirty cloths were repeatedly left in our room. The hotel is undergoing some building works and sadly our room was right next to a window or door that just had polythene covering it, so quite unsightly and meant that there was a lot of banging and noise during the day. Breakfast was shambolic, I get the hotel was busy but trying to get a table was a nightmare and there were just people everywhere. Was not relaxing at all. The food quality was quite poor and I noticed moldy bread and eggs being put out. The omelette cooked to order were also very under-cooked. One afternoon I decided to have a drink and something small to eat in the bar. Coffee came quickly but waited over 35 minutes for 3 bao buns..which given they tske a few seconds in a microwave was ridiculous. Was never asked if I wanted another drink whilst waiting. Location is good, and I'm sure maybe when less busy its probably an okay hotel. But definitely wouldn't stay here again. Felt very overpriced for the state of rooms and quality of food.

High end hotel, excellent location, priced right compared to other hotels. Shabbat friendly with keys and stairs. Very responsive staff. Would stay again.

This was our first time in Paris. Perfect stay. Large, well appointed room. Beautiful decor. Had food and drinks in the bar which was nice but expensive (as you expect). Very accessible to the sights and lots nearby. Hospitable staff. Very nice stay no complaints .

We had a wonderful time. Staff was amazing great location. We had early mornings and the hotel packed us a boxed breakfast which was so nice and convenient.

Great experience with this hotel in Paris. Our Viking cruise arranged this hotel for our post cruise extension. When we arrived we found it clean, modern and a very helpful staff. Our room was roomy, clean, quiet, comfortable beds. The included breakfast had a great variety of foods and sweets. The location was fabulous, a short walk to the Champs Elysee, and the Arc de Triumph. We were even able to walk (about 3 miles) to Montmartre. I would definitely stay here again on my own.
