The Hotel du Collectionneur in Paris, France

Three garden terraces – a rare amount of green space in central Paris – turn Hotel du Collectionneur into an oasis just north of the Champs-Elysees. The hotel's glamorous Art Deco style is inspired by transatlantic cruise liners of the 1930s – green marble, antiques and elaborate period prints adorn the hallways, and top floor rooms have small balconies from which to behold the city below. Sip on absinthe in an alcove at the glitzy Purple Bar, watching life go by on rue de Courcelles.

Enjoy a croissant and coffee in the courtyard among fountains, cypress hedges, rosebushes and palm trees. Boutique-hop along the Champs-Elysées and browse the permanent collection at the Petit Palais. Relax in the spa's Oriental Steam Room after a Carita anti-aging facial. End the day with sphère de saumon fume served on the plant-walled terrace.

The overall presentation of the hotel was very good, the waiters at breakfast could have been a bit more attentive and polite. We would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. The location was a concern at first but once we got our bearings we were fine.

The hotel overall is very nice and clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. If you want a location near the Champs Elysees, this hotel is just minutes away from the boulevard. However, it's located on a street that's not so crowded with cars. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in District 8 of Paris.

A great hotel in a good location. It's not more that 10 mins from Arc de Triomphe on foot. The rooms are spacious, quiet and with good AC. The Exec room has. A bath and shower. As it was a birthday they upgraded the room and give us a bottle a bubbles. A really nice touch. It's not cheap - but you can pay a lot more for worse. Definitely recommend.

This Hotel is situated in a quiet part of Paris yet it is very handy to the Arc de Triomphe which is about a 5-10 minute walk, this walk takes you past a good number of restaurants so finding a place to eat is not difficult. There is a beautiful park not far from the Hotel and walk through the gardens won't disappoint. Hotel rooms are spacious and well equipped, good sized bathroom, good selection of TV and movies available. Internet is available and free WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities. Access to the Metro rail is easy, there is a Taxi rank at the front of the Hotel. A word of warning, to gain access to the room refrigerator, you need to have your Credit Card details recorded, then the fridge is automatically unlocked, it will not unlock unless you do this, BUT, if you remove and move anything in the fridge so that you can put your drinks in, there is a sensor in the fridge that automatically records that removal or movement and the cost is recorded against your Credit Card, so check this before departure. This is not a cheap Hotel and the cost of eating and drinking in the Hotel is very expensive. Sleep quality is excellent, big, comfortable beds. Would recommend this Hotel.
