About the Hotel

Three garden terraces turn the Hotel du Collectionneur into an oasis just north of the Champs-Elysees. The hotel's glamorous Art Deco style is inspired by transatlantic cruise liners of the 1930s – green marble, antiques and elaborate period prints adorn the hallways, and top floor rooms have small balconies from which to behold the city below. Sip on absinthe in an alcove at the glitzy Purple Bar, watching life go by on Rue de Courcelles.

Good hotel with a good team

Overall the hotel was great, the team was very helpful in assisting us. Mr.Nalin from In room dining was great with service. The room cleaning was great. The location of the hotel was the best, close to our work location.

Nice hotel, but….

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This hotel is well located not far from the Arc de Triomphe. Rooms are large and well appointed. Breakfasr is extensive with plenty of choice. However, the large breakfast room is badly designed. This is a particular problem when large tour group are present. One very disturbing event was when returning from a morning tour of Paris, we discovered our suitcases were not in the room. We contacted reception about this who said they ‘would look into it’. But we did our own search and found our cases in a hotel storage area. Just as disturbing was we received no apologies or reasons for this mishap - not at the time, at departure, nor from a subsequent email sent to the hotel. This is not good enough from a hotel of this standing.

Bookings are not guaranteed - beware

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Had a booking with this hotel via Viking Cruises along with another 180 guests only to have all of our bookings cancelled 2 days prior to checkin as they had more important guests to accommodate. Our bookings were made months in advance. We received a letter stating that they were sorry and would like to restore our faith in them should we rebook in the future. How could anyone feel comfortable booking with them if they can cancel your booking at short notice, leaving you high and dry. So disappointing.

Emma was extremely helpful with all the things we needed assistance with! Places to eat and how to get there. She Even got us a private tour of the Eiffel Tower on a sold out day!

What a fabulous hotel experience. Staff was so attentive and friendly, which is hard to find these days. My wife broke her eyeglasses and they booked an appointment for repair at a nearby optician!
