The Hotel du Collectionneur in Paris, France
Three garden terraces turn the Hotel du Collectionneur into an oasis just north of the Champs-Elysees. The hotel's glamorous Art Deco style is inspired by transatlantic cruise liners of the 1930s – green marble, antiques and elaborate period prints adorn the hallways, and top floor rooms have small balconies from which to behold the city below. Sip on absinthe in an alcove at the glitzy Purple Bar, watching life go by on Rue de Courcelles.
Enjoy a croissant and coffee in the courtyard among fountains, cypress hedges, rosebushes and palm trees. Boutique-hop along the Champs-Elysées and browse the permanent collection at the Petit Palais. Relax in the spa's Oriental Steam Room after a Carita anti-aging facial. End the day with sphère de saumon fume served on the plant-walled terrace. The utopia of a Parisian vacation lies within the grounds of the Hotel du Collectionneur.

Reviews for The Hotel du Collectionneur
The only thing 5 Star about this hotel is the price. Checked in last night for 2 night stay. On check in was informed about issues with water system which meant no water between midnight and 6am. This in itself didnât bother me. Was âupgradedâ to room on the executive floor. Room was dingy and old and furniture has seen better days. Heating system seems ancient and Room took hours to warm up. Small things that are simply not befitting of a 5 Star hotel such as the thermostat being held on the wall by tape! Woke up and ordered room service coffee - âŹ10 for lukewarm coffee and then proceeded to have a lukewarm shower as the temperature gauge did not seem to work or at least made no difference to the temperature of the water coming out. Breakfast in what look seems like an old conference room. Fairly limited selection as others have said. Omelette stand is a joke - twice I went up and ordered and was told to come back in â2 minsâ to collect. Twice omelette was given away to someone else. Realised only solution was to wait in front of the stand until it was ready. At âŹ300/night this is simply not acceptable. Will be recommending to business travel team to take this off recommended list.

This hotel is outdated, overpriced and has many problems. On our arrival we were given a room that felt incredibly claustrophobic and old. On my request we were moved to another room which then had no heating at all. We were then moved to a third room where there was no tv reception, sinks that didnât drain, luke warm water and toilets that didnât flush properly. Hotel staff were few and far between, often not following up on minor requests at all. I often got no answer on reception phone. The lounge wasnât open when it was meant to be and staff were inattentive. We were surrounded by dirty dishes and no one removed them despite us being the only customers. This hotel needs a lot of work. We definitely wonât be back!

This was my fourth visit to this hotel and what a warm welcome with a note from the General Manager and a lovely box of Maison du Chocolat to enjoy. This hotel oozes Art Deco charm and is extremely well situated for many of the top Paris attractions and whilst I was there on business it still allows you to feel like you are really in the heart of the City of Lights. Whilst the restaurant for breakfast has been relocated temporarily they have done a great job of maintaining a great offering and quality level both from a product and service point of view. I very much look forward to my next visit in February and trying some of the other facilities available whenever that me permits.

Stayed in the a suite with access to the lounge. Snacks are provided the whole day 10 mins walk from the Champs Elysées. 5 stars service. The hotel is located near to the Monceau Park which is very romantic

I chose the hotel based on the good reviews but was greatly disappointed when considering the price tag. The hotel is the old Hilton hotel and the best days are clearly over. My room was very worn out with an old rug and old furniture (See pics).
