Great Hotel in a perfect location
The hotel was wonderful. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was delicious with great variety. Location was perfect and close to all major attractions.

When we originally booked this hotel, it advertised a rooftop bar with Eiffel Tower views. Unfortunately, this had closed by the time of our stay. It was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel, so we were disappointed. There is no proper bar; staff will simply serve drinks in a small lounge area off reception. All the staff we encountered were professional and pleasant. However, check-in felt basic — we were given no information about the hotel or its facilities, nor were we shown to our rooms. This fell short of five-star service. Before check-out we were also not offered any assistance with our bags. The rooms are spacious but look somewhat tired, with worn furniture. The bathroom sink was cracked, as were tiles in the toilet area — again below the standard expected of a five-star hotel. On two evenings we found ourselves locked out of the hotel with no idea how to gain entry. We had to knock until someone eventually opened the door. We received no prior information about this locked-door policy. Breakfast was the most disappointing aspect. No one checked us in or explained the process; I only knew about the à la carte options because I had read the information in the room. I had to ask for a menu although it should have been offered. With only three or four tables occupied, the staff still seemed chaotic and avoided eye contact, making it slower than necessary to order hot drinks. Service only improved when a senior member of staff took charge. The selection was limited, and I expected more pastries and bread given that we were in Paris. Overall, I would probably not stay here again. I have stayed in far better five-star hotels in Paris that deliver genuine five-star service and amenities — something The Marignan currently lacks. A final note of caution: beware of the taxi companies the hotel uses. We were charged €120 for a journey back to the airport that cost us half that amount from CDG on arrival. -

Great but no Eiffel Tower view
Charming boutique Hotel! Service is impeccable, perfect area to be in. Loved staying there with my little kids! Only reason for the 4 star is that there is no view of the Eiffel Tower anywhere in the hotel, I originally booked it for the view so it was a bit upsetting at first. Other than that, absolutely amazing all around!

We had an absolutely gorgeous stay at this beautiful hotel in the 8th arrondissement. The location was perfect, with everything easily accessible and so many of Paris’s highlights right at our doorstep. Our room was incredibly spacious, beautifully appointed, and the views of the Eiffel Tower were simply breathtaking. Waking up to that view was truly unforgettable! The food was amazing, and the service was exceptional. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, making us feel so well looked after. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, incredible views, delicious food, and outstanding service. We would absolutely love to stay here again!
