Reviews for Hotel Pont Royal
Very nicely presented hotel with very attentive staff and in a location that is convenient for the shopping, eating and seeing the important and enjoyable sights in Paris. Made by the staff to feel very welcome and we felt warm.

I have stayed at the Pont Royal twice. It’s a great hotel, clean, friendly staff and walking distance to everything. It also has one of the best restaurants in Paris right next door. I would recommend anyone to stay it also has elevators. I will return again next year. Debra

My safe was opened and stolen my cash and No one took any action so far. They are untrustworthy. Never ever past through this experience. Pont Royal Montalembert very bad experience. You should consider better chains. If they do not care about their reputation when their guest safe was stolen what could be worse.

Let me start off with this was our 3rd time in Paris so we were not novices. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. 2 blocks from the Seine. We booked an Executive Suite. According to the pictures on their website, we expected a much larger room with a great balcony. On their website, they show rooms that do not look anything like the "Executive Suite" we received and by no means was this a suite. We knew there was going to be a problem when the front desk insisted we checked in already. And they wanted to make sure no one was in the room they were giving us. Once that was established, we went up to room 602. We opened the door, looked at the room and walked out. It was dark, dingy and tiny. Not an Executive Suite! If you look online at their rooms, it was actually a Superior Suite. They found another room for us 504. Still small with a "balcony". You could walk out onto it but it could not fit a small chair and table as shown in the pictures. Because there was a side view of the Eiffel Tower and a view of Sacre Couer, they considered this an executive suite. Again, to give a frame of reference to size, it looked like the Superior Room they show with a balcony. Nothing like what an Executive Suite looks like on their website. Julie the manager was very accommodating and offered to show us another room but at the time it was occupied and wouldn't be available until later that night. We declined her offer. At that point, we wanted to unpack and start our day. We asked for a reduction in our rate but they felt our room was an Executive Suite they said no. I also heard another person thanking the front desk for changing their room. Guess they weren't happy also. The staff was mediocre. The free breakfast was ok. We did have one morning where the hot food was cold. The one lesson I learned this time booking in Paris.-Don't go by the 4 1/2 stars that is shown for a hotel. It blows my mind they got so many 5 star reviews. Next time, I will look at the 3 stars and below reviews also because this time they were spot on.

Starting on a positive note, the location of this hotel is great, very walkable to so many top attractions. And the view was nice. But the hotel itself was disappointing, certainly not 5 star quality. The rooms and bathrooms are small, maid service was not all that great, and the hotel staff were mediocre (including the front desk, the breakfast area, and the lounge). Also, when a lounge charges 20 euros for a martini, one would think the service would be more attentive.I think the oddest thing about the hotel was that the hotel's idea of a king size bed is pushing two singles together, but each made up separately. Lastly, the friends we were traveling with experienced a room mix up and got placed in a much smaller room than what they had reserved. In summary, if you truly want a 4 or 5 star experience, stay somewhere else.
