Hotel Pont Royal

I love this hotel for both the great location and the service. I took my granddaughter (14) for her first trip to Europe. We booked the "Signature Suite" and were treated like VIPS. It was an easy walk to many of the things we wanted to do and see. The breakfast buffet had lots of variety and powered us on to our daily adventures. The staff were warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I can’t wrap my brain around how anyone would give this hotel a good review. Truly amateur hour at every turn. These 17 year olds running the show have no clue what a five star hotel should look and feel like. I stayed one night and left enraged. I felt manipulated. Their approach is to nickel and dime you at every turn (including the fourteen euro black coffee in the morning I was handed) and to lure you in with some gimmicky nonsense about how writers like Albert Camus stayed there once. Who cares? If you are a dumb American and revel in Disney world nonsense, you’ll perhaps be duped by their BS and pay every overpriced bill they hand you. If you’re a savvy traveler, you will see right through it and you’ll feel annoyed that you were pulled in by the five star rating. This is NOT a five star hotel. The 4 star hotels we stayed at before and after were so much better and wouldn’t have dared to charge us for half of the nonsense this tourist snare attempted. Awful place that left a bad taste in my mouth. Paris is better than this.

A disappointing hotel. Ultimately I would say this is a 3 star hotel and at the pricing, I would highly recommend stepping up for better or finding the same at lower pricing. First the good. Great location. Some nice bar/library touches. Staff is nice. Complementary mini bar a nice touch. The bad. Very poor air conditioning that failed us in a heat wave. That may have been enough to ruin a vacation. The room furnishings are old. The couch was extremely uncomfortable and belonged in a 1 star property. Bedding old and mattress’s soft. Poor outlets for charging. I would not stay here again.

architecture: belle époque style beautiful rooms: small but well appointed noise level: quiet service: warm friendly and courteous bar: excellent food service: lunch and dinner in the bar room. breakfast needs help concierge: okay location: perfect. steps from all activities in paris special honors go to: bartenders and front desk all in all we felt at home there. quiet, serene and luxurious.

We know where to stay when we’re coming to Paris—this is the spot. It’s in the most incredible neighborhood, the staff is amazing and our room is just the delightful cozy respite we need after a long day of fun.
