This was our second stay at The Hotel Pont Royal and we'll stay there again when we next return to Paris. The staff is excellent. The location is great for walking to all of the many major attractions of Paris. There are many excellent restaurants close buy and the concierge is very helpful in securing reservations.

We selected this hotel based on price point and trip advisor comments. I was pretty apprehensive of the size of the rooms but my fears were allayed as we were not only able to check in early but were accommodated with a room with a balcony. Room was nicely appointed with rich colours and marble bathroom. Staff was professional and attentive. We received great restaurant suggestions. Delicious breakfast buffet was available during our stay. The manager remembered us each time we popped in for breakfast. Enjoyed returning to the hotel for drinks at the bar where Dimitri was able to offer suggestions on what to drink. He recommended a divine chocolate dessert plate which did not disappoint this discerning dessert connoisseur. I must say this hotel is doing something right. Will return.

The Hotel Pont Royal is an actual five-star hotel (which is good!) with great service. It’s in a great location, within walking distance of good museums (e.g. Orsay), the Seine, and lots of other left bank attractions. Right up the Rue du Bac is the intersection of Boulevard Saint Germain and Boulevard Raspail, where there is a metro station It is also across the street from a Monoprix (they are all over Paris) where you can buy snacks, wine etc. (Pro Tip: Monoprix are great places to shop for "necessities" in Paris). The rooms are comfortable and not too small (small rooms can be a problem in Paris). Terry cloth robes and slippers are provided and WiFi was free during our stay. The bar is quite reasonably priced for a first class hotel, and is a nice place to drop in for an aperitif after a long day of sightseeing. The bar will also will help you out with a bucket of ice for your room on request. The staff is very helpful and the desk and concierge staff all speak English. I highly recommend this hotel.

Helpful staff and nice rooms. Location unbeatable - just off the beaten path but yet in the heart of everything! 5 minute walk to the Orsay and 10 to the Louvre. Definitely would stay there again. Surrounded by great restaurants and shops! Small & friendly and not the crushing crowds of larger luxury hotels!

Stayed here a total of five nights over the course of a week or so, sandwiching a three day trip to Alsace. I had stayed at this hotel some years ago as well. The Pont Royal is a smart and masculine boutique hotel in about as good a location as I can imagine. A half block off of Boulevard Saint-Germain, a few blocks from the Seine directly across from the Louvre, and easy walking distance to Montparnasse, d'Orsay, Eiffel Tower, the Latin Quarter, and beyond. It also shares space with Joel Robuchon's first L'atelier and is next door to the esteemed Hotel Montalembert. The rooms are small but appointed in luxury, and all seem to front diagonally on charming Rue de Bac and Rue Montalembert. Breakfast is quite good and the lobby bar cozy. What's a bit too cozy are the bathrooms, modern enough but cramped. Moreover, why a hotel bathroom isn't supplied with more than one solitary bath and one single hand towel is a real mystery to me. Still, very nice staff, first class space, in an unbeatable location. And very reasonably priced for Paris.
