La Maison Favart in Paris, France

As a cultural mecca for everything from fashion to fanciful fare, the pursuit of pleasure and indulgence has become the norm in Paris, "The City of Lights". Steeped in history, and bearing the iconic name of the most iconic pair in French theatre, La Maison Favart pays homage to her namesake with dramatic, 18th Century décor, and style that is uniquely Parisian. Come live an epicurean fantasy at one of Europe's premier boutique hotels,.

As you gaze upon the palatial façade of La Maison Favart from the Rue de Marivaux you are instantly transported to a time where decadence reigned supreme. The plush black and white carpeted flooring leads you down hallways and corridors decorated in classic Parisian style. The overstated opulence of gilded mirrors and exaggerated Old World trinkets points to an age of austerity, while the unobtrusive, yet attentive staff and modern amenities showcase the five-star boutique quality of La Maison Favart. The color palettes of the bedrooms, suites, and duplexes shock the senses with tranquil blues, vibrant reds, and cool greens, while retaining the classic elegance of the time. Lavish Victorian furnishings and heavy curtains add a regal feel to contemporary comforts such as oversized bedding, vanity areas, and spacious bathrooms. If you tire of being waited on, pampered, and having your every need met at the hotel, excitement awaits just outside your door. Experience the beauty of The Louvre, float along the River Seine, or just amble along the historic streets and take in all that is Paris. The hotel is situated in a quiet street opposite the Opera Comique. We had only 1 last day in Paris and chose to overnight at Le Maison Favart due to it's proximity to Cafe de la Paix, one of our favorite restaurants in Paris. Our room wasn't ready upon arrival. We check our luggage and headed out. A long leisurely lunch followed by 2 hours in Galleries Lafayette and a final hour enjoying cocktails at The Grand Hotel, saw us back at Le Maison Favart to find our luggage had already been transferred to our room. We had a few hassles with the key card, but it was quickly overcome. We are pleased to state that the lift/elevator is large enough for a lot of luggage - not always the case in Paris. Their honesty box works well, and we made use thereof. Love the people who manage and run this hotel. We interacted with many of them and found them all charming, helpful and engaging, even when English was their second language. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel. We had a very clean room with two single beds (my teen daughter and I). For Americans the room would be considered small but it was fine considering it is Paris and you are not going to be in your room much anyway. The ample breakfast (that included bacon and eggs every day) was included in our rate. The hotel was helpful with arranging for car service and taxis. There is coffee and tea available in your room and downstairs. The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was amazing. The hotel is not super close to the main attractions like the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower but is a 10-20 euro taxi ride away. If you are adventurous you can walk, as we walked to Montmartre. The weekend concierge is particularly friendly and helpful. There was both an American and European clientele.

Just recently we stayed here and was very impressed with their service and cleanliness. We can't wait to go back next year. Excellent location for walking to the Louvre and other locations in Paris. Also a good place to bring your kids.

Conveniently situated in a quiet street close to the main attractions (Louvre, Notre Dame etc) and Montmartre. Staff were unfailingly helpful and polite. Breakfast is a bit pricey, but very good quality.

La Maison Favart is one of the best hotels that I've stayed in. It is beautiful, well maintained and very convenient to visit all the major attractions of Paris from the hotel. The staff is very hospital and very friendly. They made our holiday better. The rooms are also very good. In total, a very excellent hotel and I recommend everyone to stay in La Maison Favart when in Paris.
