Hotel was beautiful, we had a large room with very comfortable two twins, gorgeous linens. The hype on the pool is just that, hype. It is a pool in a little cave area too shallow to exercise in, not enough space to swim, more like a pool temperature hot tub. Pool was pretty and very unusual though only worth one look see visit. I wish at check in they would hand out info on the pool, exercise room and free patisserie cake, tea and coffee in the evening. I didn't even know they had an exercise room until the last day. I believe they would make people happier if they gave out more information. Some of this may be that there is a language barrier and they would just as soon not talk too much. A written ( in English) one sheet note would overcome that problem. Most of the staff tries hard to help you, we needed help on train reservations to Monet's Garden and the front desk was most helpful. If I could change one thing about the hotel it would be its location. It is not in easy walking distance to good restaurants. We walked to some local bistros and cafes but their offerings pale in comparison to restaurants. The walking distance cafes and brasseries in in an area not attractive and frankly dumpy, dirty streets. Blue Jean young crowd people probably wouldn't mind but 75 and older people feel like you are in the slums. We ended up taking cabs to more high class dining establishments. Very much liked our rooms and hotel though, if you can put up with cab fare go for it!

We had a wonderful four night stay. Botris gave us a lovely welcome and as it was my birthday weekend he very thoughtfully organised a surprise in our room. Our room was excellent. Overlooking the opera up in the eaves of the building it was large and very romantic.

This was our second visit to Maison Favart and it will not be our last! Terrific location- close to the Marsis, Opera, and the Louvre. Wonderful, thoughtful staff (shout out to Boris and Freddy) that provides quiet attention. There are many terrific restaurants within walking distance. You feel like you are at your Parisien pied a terre!
