Beautiful, très chic Paris is in fine form at Les Jardins du Marais. Behind an unassuming façade on Rue Amelot in Marais, this Summit Hotels & Resorts property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group, adds a contemporary edge to 1930s glamour in rooms outfitted with plush purple carpeting and Macassar ebony furniture. Sunlight floods the lobby and restaurant through a glass roof, and blossoming flowers are everywhere. Nine renovated, historic buildings comprise the hotel – one used to house Gustave Eiffel’s workshop.

TRAVELERS BEWARE: My husband and I were robbed at this hotel it is not safe for Americans or any travelers! Our room was cleaned and either left unlocked purposely by hotel staff, or a crazy coincidence, robbed completely. Over $5,000 in cameras, bags, clothing, and irreplaceable jewelry. Passports and credit cards as well, a nightmare of a situation (and I was 5 months pregnant at the time.) The hotel eventually admitted fault and guaranteed their insurance would pay us out and then their hotel manager Donam has ghosted us. This hotel is shady and unsafe, do not stay here.

We stayed for 2 nights mid October and while centrally located in the Marais with a unique layout the service levels were well below standard. We were allocated the worst room in the hotel and our window was at the entrance to the section of the hotel with a trolley ramp at the window, so we had trolly noise late at night and early in the morning. The night before we left the hotel we organized a cab to take us to the airport via reception at 7.20am , they had not recorded the booking so we were half an hour late leaving the hotel. We had to ask for our room to be made up at 2pm and this is after complaining of noise level so you would expect them to make an effort thou There were at least another 5 basic customer services things they missed plus a safety issue of a wet hose on stairs leading to breakfast area In summary no attention to detail and 3 star experience for what is a supposedly 4 star hotel

My wife and I were staying at this hotel with a Road Scholar tour group. An elderly friend in the U.S. had an 82-year-old younger sister who she hadn't seen in years, and she asked if I would check on her. The sister lived in the Latin Quarter and although she did speak English she relied on the library for her email and was having problems responding to my attempts to reach her. Tim at the front desk was terrific and over a period of two days was able to assist us in making sure that she knew where and when we could meet her for dinner. We had a lovely visit and were then able to report back to her family that she was fine. Thank you, Tim!

This hotel gets many small tour groups. Our room is large. A few more bathroom amenities would be nice. I would like more sliced fruits at the buffet breakfast.

The hotel did not help me with a room problem. Front desk staff rushed me and put me in a room too large and expensive! No one there to assist and the road scholar leader was not around when my room needed to be changed! I know she could not help me! The first room roommate and I were in was too small.
