MonHotel Lounge & Spa in Paris, France

MonHotel Lounge & Spa is one of Paris's most innovative boutique hotels, and its location is just a stroll away from the world-famous landmarks everyone loves, namely the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Élysées. Sleek and contemporary, Mon Hotel proves that luxury status can at times be whimsical in its approach to hospitality. Part of the Preferred Hotel Group collection of properties, the hotel hosts just 37 comfortable chambers, concealed behind a townhouse façade. With the turn of a knob, discover a glamorous motif with striking black-and-white prints paying homage to Hollywood's Golden Era and tributes to Marilyn Monroe at every turn. En-suite baths are like petite spas, featuring luxuries such as freestanding tubs and showers that double as steam rooms. In the morning, roll out of bed and assume the role of barista with your very own in-room espresso machine.

The bistro at MonHotel Lounge & Spa is on the sassy side, with aubergine-colored walls, ebony tables and violet fabrics. The food is simple yet satisfying, and is sure to please gourmands. You will also find a spa and fitness center with an equally enticing color palette of purples and chocolates, as well as a legendary steam room that gives the illusion of stepping into van Gogh's Starry Night masterpiece. Best of all, the City of Lights beckons from beyond the lobby - from the iconic Eiffel Tower to the more obscure Père Lachaise Cemetery, the final resting place for such legends as Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde.

We really enjoyed our stay at MonHotel. It's a great location, just a few minutes walk from the Arc du Triomphe and about 5-10mins from the top of the Champs-Elysees. It's generally a pretty quiet street considering how close it is to a busy part of town - we did hear a police siren at one point in the night and some people shouting outside but other than that was very peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful - we had a couple of minor issues but they resolved these for us easily. I had also contacted them via email ahead of our visit with a few questions and they were quick to deal with this. We had an executive room which was a good size and I loved the decor and style of the rooms. The bed was so comfortable - best one I've slept in at a hotel. The bathroom was really nice and spacious and everything was spotless. Breakfast was good - fairly small choice but delicious pastries. We also used the spa facilities for a full body massage which was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples looking for a romantic break in Paris.

This is a privately-owned hotel in a chain of one. I liked it. The hotel was close to the Arc de Triomphe. The rooms are small, everything is tight but it is quite classy. We had a balcony with a table and two chairs to sit at and relax. The breakfast was first-rate and the staff were brilliant; you couldn't fault them (thank you Audrey)

We booked this hotel through Secret Escapes at a good price. The hotel is rated four star and achieves these stars with ease. Décor is bold and intimate (though the leatherette lining of the wardrobe is not a taste I shall be recreating at home). The bed and duvet was the best I have ever had in a hotel, really comfy. Shower was OK. Rooms are small but have everything you need and the lots of small touches were a lovely treat. Breakfast was standard continental affair, but the quality of what was offered (cheese, ham, bread etc) was better than many other hotels. Over all a fab little hotel that really gets it right and could not be better located. If you are planning a romantic weekend in Paris then this is your ideal base.

My stay at the MonHotel was amazing. I will try not to bore anyone, but I have to say, there wasn't anything more I could've wished for during my stay.Lovely building, as well as the rooms, amazing staff, all friendly and helpful. Fatiha or Audrey,Antoine or Mehdi at the reception will always help you get around town, Nirosh and Mehdi #2 at Breakfast are just what you need when you long for a coffe in the morning, and of course Rabia who was in charge of the cleaning always made sure everything was in place. Having said that, I am sure there are many good hotels in Paris, but as far as I am concerned this is one the best ones.

Mon Hotel, what can I say about it? Lots, even though I only stayed one night but it was enough to understand why a guest would want to make this hotel their home-base when they visited Paris. I was very impressed by the fact that their staff spoke at least seven languages, with each member or staff understanding and speaking at least two or three fluently. Languages included and not limited to, Arabic, French, Spanish, English...etc. The Hotel is just off the avenue Foch, for those of us who love to shop, which is conveniently placed just two or three streets away from the Champs Elysees, as well as a stones throw away from Avenue victor Hugo, in my opinion you'll want to stop at this street to wet your appetite, believe me you will not regret it! it has all the major names sans (without) the Cartier and LVs but the little boutiques like, Maje, Philosophy, Celine...etc you will find plenty there; at the end of the road you will come to a roundabout where you may want to relax with a café au lait or cappuccino and watch the world go by. There are plenty of café/restaurants and a pretty little flower shop in this area too. If shoes are your thing then André is where you want to be, they have amazing prices (especially sale time) and great quality. You will find this shop on the left hand corner just as you come into the roundabout. The hotel was a little difficult to find but that was also it's beauty; we went round in circles for ten minutes before the light-bulb went off in my taxi driver's head, he had a little help from me chiming in with what little french i could remember from school armed with my 'Waze' app (highly recommend). We finally make it to the front door where i looked into a red interior from the main doors outside and thought to myself, oh boy this is going to be a long night if the the interiors are red, but after opening the door i found that it was just glazed glass so don't be alarmed when you pitch up. There was a polite young man at the entrance to greet me he showed me to the front desk where i checked in and then was shown to the elevator. I though i was going to be escorted to my room, but i wasn't and when i saw the elevator i understood why. The elevator is barely enough for one person with two pieces of luggage (one large and one hand). It was a serious situation getting in and out of that elevator, all i could do was pray to God it didn't decide to break down just then. I was on the third floor. The room was tiny but comfortable, and this was one of the larger rooms so be sure to double check when reserving a room that you have a big one if that is what you are looking for; the pictures on the website are deceiving. I had a balcony, nespresso coffee machine, tea bags, kettle, sugar and a mini fridge. All the usual mod-coms were available, including an iPod dock. The wardrobe was tiny, so don't bring clothes with you, just buy a bunch there! Good excuse to shop... ;) I ordered a soup, which was at my room quickly and arrived piping hot. I got a generous helping of baguettes, which were fresh, warm and crispy. The food was bought up by the same man who checked me in, which i thought was great! Everyone helps! The hotel arranged my car to the airport for early the next morning, which was prompt, and was given a call to let me know the taxi was downstairs waiting but not to rush. The service was really wonderful, one could really see that the hotel worked like a ship, when one could not follow through someone else followed up and picked up the slack but as a guest you would never suspect it at all...they are that good. The food: The food was delicious and on time! I had ordered the food quite late at night and did not expect it to be ready so soon or for it to be quite as delicious as it was. In fact i was expecting someone to tell me that because of the time room service was not available but they could fix me a sandwich if i liked, but was really pleasantly surprised at what i got. Great service and food. I would say here, that the food menu as far as the room service menu went was not so extensive. Not much choice, would have liked to see more choice for guests. The Hotel: The hotel is clean, and works like a well oiled machine. Your stay here will not, or should not be disappointing, except for one tip, do ask for a quiet room, my room although an 'end' room was quite noisy, i could hear the bangs and bumps my neighbors next door were making, presumably when leaving as i heard it no more twenty minutes later but still make sure you ask for somewhere not too noisy especially if you have a baby with you. The rooms all have air conditioning and heaters so nothing to worry about there. Presumably they have wheelchair access as they have an elevator, however, one must double check before going over. So the conclusion: Would i stay here again? Yes. Would i recommend this hotel to friends and family? yes! Does it have that 'Je Ne Sais Quoi?' Definitely, yes! I hope you enjoy your stay here. Happy Travels
