In my travels and since I have been Marriott Bonvoy Platinum for six years I have never encountered not being upgraded to an available suite or best room below a suite until AC Marriott Gangnam early April. Paris Marriott Champs Elysee did it again. The female check-in staff kept saying perfect but offered me king bed as an upgrade. I told her that was not the Marriott policy. After she consulted with some colleagues she upgraded me to superior family room, which was much larger but without any nice view. The two night upgrade was worth 600 Euro extra. The next morning I noticed a Champs Elysee view larger room (same size as superior family room) but with much nicer view and modern design was available so I requested for it. The second room was worth ~900 Euro vs superior family room ~800 Euro. The same evening a bottle of Merlot, two bottles of still water, macaroons and fruits were sent to the new room. Great service recovery. The female check-in staff was terrible. She did not even brief me on location and timing of breakfast restaurant. The breakfast restaurant was small with a limited spread but food was of decent quality. No champagne though. The staff was running around at their own doing taking orders for and serving coffee and omelettes. They got omelettes wrong for a demanding American couple on my next table. Gym was small with some dumbbells and a cable multistation. The gym lift lobby had a bad smell each time I entered. I cancelled my second stay after return from Mont Saint Michel and booked at Renaissance Arc de Triomphe.

The Marriott Champs Elysees exceed all expectations. Service was exemplary, and Concierges were exceptional. Monsuier Zain and Monsuier Thomas were key in helping me plan ahead, which provided my daughter and I an experience of a lifetime!

The Marriott, Champs Élysées is one of the finest hotels that I have ever stayed at. It is my favorite hotel to stay at when I am in Paris. Not only is it a beautiful hotel it has the most wonderful convenient location right on the Champs Élysées. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, the rooms were neat and clean, and the Customer service people were excellent. I highly recommend the Marriot Champs Élysées to anyone going to Paris. Beautiful hotel in a great location. In the heart of it all this hotel has an amazing lobby, great staff and well appointed rooms. Breakfast was good although my wife and I thought the food was a bit cold for us (although this is common complaint for us in many hotels). I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel for your Paris city break.

Hotel is in the best location. Service in the hotel is horrible. Everyday housekeeping was an issue. We would leave the room and return about 5:00 to find out that housekeeping has not taken care of our room. It was a constant issue during my stay. I had conversations with the hotel front desk day after day with zero satisfaction. They did not seem to concerned with our disappointment. Our last full day we returned to the room at 6:00 pm to find no housekeeping. When discussed with the manager they offered to buy us a drink. Great location but hotel did not meet what o believe Mariott standards
