Reviews for The Peninsula Paris

Beautiful hotel with well trained staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Beautiful room, spacious for a Paris hotel. Staff is incredible-name recognition, trained and polite. The five stars matches its service. Love the concierge Cotitle (spelling). Food at Chinese restaurant was excellent and atmosphere beautiful. Breakfast was perfect except wanted more pastries with fruit filling. I’m surprised there were not more assortment everyday. Pastries delicious. Housekeeping came at 9:30pm one night- a little late for turn down. Highly recommend this hotel over the other high end hotels in Paris.

loved the elegance .

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

My stay at The Peninsula was great, I encountered a blend of impeccable service and slight inconveniences that shaped my overall experience, from the opulent rooms to the The hotel itself radiating grandeur. The elegant eye catching chandeliers adorning the reception to the meticulously designed spa area that showcases a seamless transition rarely mastered by other hotels I loved the overall vibe. My room, a marvel of elegance, featured a spacious and spotless bathroom that quickly became my favourite aspect. Despite the hotel's many luxuries, my specific pillow type request went unmet, a minor hiccup in an otherwise flawless experience. Intriguingly, the technology panels in my room defaulted to Arabic, likely an intuitive touch based on my name upon booking, which I found surprisingly handy and will be useful for those who’s primary language isn’t English. However, my stay wasn't without its concerns. A malfunctioning laundry shoot in my room brought unnecessary worries about security especially because I was already feeling slightly unsafe in the city, if you know how these laundry shoots are like you would understand they could genuinely fit a whole person and they can easily come inside your room if you do not close your side of the shoot. This, coupled with a disconcerting episode involving my luggage at the concierge, left me feeling unsettled. Initially, my bags were not stored in the usual secure location but were instead left out, in a random location . I didn't think anything of it and just mentioned that I would like them to put it in the room then it occurred to me that when I first arrived at the hotel I arrived at the restaurant entrance and when I said I want to leave my bag here the man said to me I cannot do that then I said why and he didn't respond he told me to go away not knowing I was actually staying at the hotel, there were no other staff beside him so I dint want to engage with him any further so I walked to the other side of the building to reception and checked in then later on when I went to the restaurant I saw the man speaking to someone looking in my direction and the other person came up to me apologising for what his college had done and apparently they dont take bags because of bomb threats, this statement was very shocking to me because why was I basically associated with a bomb threat in that matter, would they do this to someone else?? I was so confused and I’m still yet to contact a representative of the peninsula about this situation. the location of the hotel was decent beside the arc , I wasn't really amazed but it was an ok location and a good distance from other attractions, Despite these issues, the kindness and attentiveness of the restaurant staff were a high point of my visit. Their ability to remember me from a previous stay and cater to my needs, particularly by Adrien and a notably kind female staff member, was remarkable. They went out of their way to ensure I had a fresh, delightful meal in my room when the restaurant had closed because id had a bad experience at a restaurant with a rodent running past as im eating which ruined my Paris experience even more. Overall, The Peninsula dazzled with its cleanliness, the unseen efficiency of its housekeeping, and thoughtful amenities like the chauffeur waiting area. Its proximity to iconic sites like the Arc de Triomphe added to its appeal, though my experiences inside the hotel left a more lasting impression. Despite the mixed feelings provoked by certain aspects of my stay, the exceptional service and luxurious setting make The Peninsula a place I would consider revisiting.

Chilling out at Bar Kleber

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

IT was an impromptu plan to go chilling out at Bar Kleber but nevertheless i was glad i did. Located near the shopping district and tourist spot, just a perfect place to chill out after hours of shopping and sightseeing. Most importantly the staff are very friendly and attentive, especially Jelvelyn and her manager Frederic. THe ambiance was amazing, luxurious yet comfy.

An ELEGANT and EXCELLENT Cigar Lounge at the Peninsula! Ask for the best server, Jel! 5 stars!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

What an experience! Both the concierge at Hotel Du Lourve and a passersby urged me to try The Peninsula while inquiring about Paris Cigar Lounges. After what they said I cancelled reservations elsewhere to try this venue with my husband. Just wow! We were welcomed by several staff with such friendly smiles. We had been told there was a minimum because we were not staying there today but we knew it would be worth it. The minimum applies to cigars, drinks, food etc. This location is a palace and you feel like a King and Queen in it! The entrance is absolutely beautiful and the entire hotel excludes elegance and excellence. The Cigar Bar itself was very spacious. Fabulous music in the back ground. Beautiful coffee table books. Swivel ashtrays attached to the chairs. Matches and crystal ashtrays. Just really fabulous! A huge thank you to Jel who took great care of us! Her service was phenomenal. She literally was anticipating our every need. We were so impressed! Jel you were FANTASTIC! The cigar lounge and hotel are a must visit in Paris- a terrific break from running around town and so close to one of the best streets to walk in Paris!
