I stayed three nights in a suite in the Regina Hotel. It is a great luxury hotel from 1900 that is renovated. The hotel is centrally located accross the Louvre Museum and it is close to the Opéra district. You just walk out of the hotel and you are in the middle of Paris. The hotel has a classy chic with a tasteful decor and a great atmosphere. It fits completely to this area of this beautiful city. My suite was spacious and nicely decorated - in line with this gorgeous hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I have stayed many many times in Paris (must be 30 - 40 times) and friendly staff is not the norm in every hotel. This hotel is one of my favourite hotels now in Paris.

The hotel may be a little tired in the common areas like the hallway carpeting. But the staff caters to English-speaking guests and they are happy to serve. The breakfast in the lobby was the difference. You can get a full breakfast and set up your day. The best part of the hotel is the triple pane glass windows that knock out the street sound and minimize all street noises. I am a light sleeper and love the quality of the sleep. The beds were very comfortable and that's what mattered. Plus you walk out the door and you have the Central Park and the museum Louvre next door and the two impressionist museum across the Park. All are walking distance. The hotel is a very good value for the money. It is in the middle of Paris. I left to go to Provence and came back and stayed in the same hotel for a second stay. That says that is worth staying in. It is a good value for the money.

I was pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room. Coming from the US I expected the European room to be tiny room but it was more than adequate. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had everything we needed including blow dryer, robes and a scale (I could have done without the scale after eating all that delicious French food). The only thing missing was a dresser w/drawers, but they did have an armoire. When we arrived at the hotel we had just left a cruise and I had thrown my back out. It was only 10:30 am and I told the girl working the front desk that I totally understand that everyone want their room early but I really can't stand up because of my back she immediately started working on our room. She had us in our room within 30 minutes! I wish I knew her name because she deserves a star! The hotel is in the best location literally steps from the Louvre, Tullerie Gardens and Musee D'Orsay. Perfect spot if your an explorer on foot.

This is one of my favorite hotels ever! It's beautifully renovated -- classy, but with all the modern conveniences. The rooms are very quiet, even those facing the street. The staff is helpful, and the location cannot be beat. It is across the street from the Louvre, so you are within easy walking distance of just about any part of central Paris. Truly a delightful place.

We where very excited that the room was well appointed and spacious. The location is amazing directly across from the Lauve and a less than 2 mile walk to the Eiffel Tower. The bartender Marc and the staff all top notch and the price was affordable compared to other options we considered. The only complaint is the room AC did not cool well... still a great place to stay...
